Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

IDK if I've ever mentioned this here, but I've secretly been in love with this woman for 30 years...

I was kind of hoping that you would comment on the changing political correctness and its stupidity, rather than making this about Trump ;) Everyone is offended by EVERYTHING, and it is happening more and more as time goes by.

I am so glad I do not live in that world of Political Correctness that has become America. Everyone is so damned sensitive. Here in Asia I just sit and watch, and laugh at the idiocy of everyone feeling that they are somehow entitled.

By the way, Dan, did you read my post regarding the Bob Seger thing?
[nudge nudge Aye-aye wink wink]
Last thing first, no not yet, but I strive to never miss one of your posts."

Honestly I wasn't trying to make it about Trumppyshit.He just happens to embody stupid incoherence in public life.

It's hard for me to ascertain how much PC is really active in our world and how much it's just media noise.

On the one hand we have so called liberals who go nuts if you say rat instead of mouse when really we are just talking about rodents.

On the other hand we have ex-Christians who have wedded themselves body and soul to a trmpshit doctrine that only white people have the right to be offended by white people.

We are a divided Nation, Not so much by custom as by other factors.

"Wealth isolates."
Weather it be a wealth of money, talent, intelligence or the of simple good will.
Wealth isolates.

This cannot be avoid except by a sacrifice of the higher in favor of that which is lower. It is here that we have failed ourselves and our nation.

Intelligence has not reached back in aid of the stupid!! Intelligence has not
fostered and shared good will among men.

Instead it sought it's own benefit and left our stupid brother sand sisters to sink or swim on their own.We left them without spiritual guidance in political life..

Wealthy men create ghettos to house the poor, where their spirits often weather and die.

For me the greatest failure in our country has been the Christian Church of the evangelicals. It's utter failure to walk with Jesus and see to the needs of the poor. In their rejection of those children of God who do not look like them.
Or have a different path to walk in his service.

In their unfailing support of what any Christian should be able to see is the Anti-Christ!!

In this cultural morass where the Good so often goes undefined and evil is excused if it serves our momentary porpoise, We must be cautious with our words.

Best to not forget that the stupid do not know they are stupid.
So a very stable genius looks good to them when they have so long been without genuine guidance.

"All that's needed for evil to arise and prosper is that good men do nothing."

The world has grown spiritually bankrupt. We are after all killing our planet
while we fight over everything.

I guess I'm trying to say is that this is all of one clothe.
Our troubles come from a single cause...Our failure to love and support the good instead of what's good for us today.

Here intelligence has little advantage over the stupid.
For we fail first in the heart not the mind.

I have met and known truly beautiful people who were stupid.
Yet they would give you anything for a smile and a bit of encouragement.

We abandon them to Trumpshit and then blame them for being so alone.
I can't say if this has pleased you anymore than my first response
But you can rest assured that I'm on your side! ":O}

Sorry Dan, but Bob Seger has *never* recorded this song. Not even on his 'Night Moves' album, which I know practically by heart. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Moves_(album)
Nor is it on either of the two 'Greatest Hits' compilations by Bob Seger.

The video you posted is Dobie Gray singing his cover of the Mentor Williams song [1970-ish]. The song is called 'Drift Away'. It is misnamed as being by Bob Seger. This happens far too often on YouTube. I mean really, the poster does not even know the name of the song. [It's NOT 'Give me the beat boys']

Please expand the comments below the video you posted, to see that others know it's not Bob. To do this, open the video below, and then click on the 'YouTube' icon in the lower right corner. This will open a new tab in YouTube where you can read the comments.

You will notice that the poster himself actually concedes that it is Dobie Gray, and not Bob.

...and compare the audio to Dobie Gray's 'Drift Away'...

It's identical.

Well I fumbled about and did confirm that it is NOT on either of the two albums I have, But here's the thing, search for "Give me the beat boys"
And Bob is who you get. I am unfamiliar with Mr. Gray, sure sounds like Bob to me.LOL

That not just the voice but the music is identical, I left wondering how did this happen? As neither of these singers have any need to rip anyone off.

Git any idear how this happened?

N otice Mr Gray to the right of the main Bob picture.

Ode to joy, All men shall be brothers!!

Isn't just like musicians to refuse to play until some body pays them! On the other hand she did get her 10 cents worth! ":O}

Lyrics in English for "Ode to Joy"
("Ode An Die Freude")
Beethoven's 9th Symphony

O friends, no more these sounds!
Let us sing more cheerful songs,
more full of joy! Joy, bright spark of divinity,
Daughter of Elysium,
Fire-inspired we tread
Thy sanctuary. Thy magic power re-unites
All that custom has divided,
All men become brothers
Under the sway of thy gentle wings. Whoever has created
An abiding friendship,
Or has won
A true and loving wife,
All who can call at least one soul theirs,
Join in our song of praise;
But any who cannot must creep tearfully
Away from our circle. All creatures drink of joy
At nature's breast.
Just and unjust
Alike taste of her gift; She gave us kisses and the fruit of the vine,
A tried friend to the end.
Even the worm can feel contentment,
And the cherub stands before God!
Gladly, like the heavenly bodies
Which He set on their courses
Through the splendor of the firmament;
Thus, brothers, you should run your race,
As a hero going to conquest.
You millions, I embrace you.
This kiss is for all the world!
Brothers, above the starry canopy
There must dwell a loving Father.
Do you fall in worship, you millions?
World, do you know your creator?
Seek him in the heavens;
Above the stars must He dwell.

I believe this to be among the very first classical pieces I fell in love with.
In "In appreciation of Italy"

I really like it when a singer doesn't leave out the sharps and flats in their voice.
and they make of them what is for me a better music, something more complete.

Thanks TR for the introduction.

What a wonderful video, thank you very much Dan!

It is a fake post. It is not two singers. It is only Dobie Gray. Look at the comments below the original post:

The OP, MixMatchCampaign, concedes it is NOT Bob Seger.

Haven't we addressed this at least twice already? Maybe not. The first contretemps was Dobie Gray vs The Doobie Brothers, iirc.
