Thank you for these GREAT selections!

Holy mackerel Andy! These legendary songs are dynamite in the best possible way. I didn't realize Mr Hall is older than me, he sure as petunias out does me on the musical front. I admitted long ago that I was a rank amateur---and compared to his full moon luminescence I'm but the tiniest star millions of light years away.

My individual comments about the songs didn't post. Doesn't really matter.

I'm keep getting run over by completely evolved artists I've never heard of!

Add Duffy to that list. Thanks for making the introductions.

It never hurts when the singers are good looking women. Here's another old one.

My 9 years younger sister turned me on to Bruce. He's done a few things I really like. But I find I like him more as " a person on the journey:

I know what you mean, a person on a quest. His quest now has him frolicking with the millionaires on their mega-yachts in the Caribbean. With former president Obama, what a man of the people he is.

A tisket a tasket, so many evil baskets. A "gift?" Not really.

An oldie I like. Seems that Dave Mason toured with Fleetwood Mac quite a bit. Who was he replacing?

    My favorite T.O.P. song:

Here they are, with the original lineup and Lenny Williams on 'Soul Train'. TL;DR - go to 3:00 for the song:

And here's one I'll bet you've never heard, the great Sweetpea Atkinson singing a James Brown standard. I dare you to tell me The Boneshakers aren't a great band:

Here's the official video from 1997. For some unknown reason, the audio is in mono. The previous entry has the audio in stereo, as it should be, but lacks the video:

Here's a live version with the virtuoso alto sax player Mindy Abair, from a show in Seattle:

And if that isn't enough for you, here's The Boneshakers with Mindy Abair on sax and the terribly talented Joe Bonamassa on guitar:

    More with Mindy Abair:

And The Boneshakers at their bluesy best:

I trust you are all Boneshakers fans now.

See them if you get the opportunity. I have, and they are a great show.

A band from the Bay Area I've always greatly admired. East Bay Grease forever!
Rocco Prestia is a bass hero of mine, the man plays the funk!

A friend who plays guitar very well met James Brown's band at a truck stop on I-90 here in Washington. James Brown flew to his gigs of course, his band soldiered on in a bus.

My friend called me in great spirits, he said I was the only one he could think of to relate this news to. What a compliment!
