I didn't get any updates immediately after updating this time. It took a day before I got the 5 I have now.

Applied the updates yesterday, was a total of about 1.2 GB. I currently have a batch of 5 new updates waiting. I'll probably get those installed sometime around June, along with whatever else comes along.

I hear France is also looking to get rid of Windows and move to Linux. Potentially the only good thing I can find about our current administration is that they might accidentally force much wider adoption of Linux. That being said, this isn't the first time Germany and France have been down...

I currently have 36 updates waiting. I typically wait for the weekend to do updates, and I may go 3 or 4 weeks before I do one.

I'm not sure I grok your meaning when you say "the divided window". That's "nemo" which is your file explorer app, and the view you are seeing is the view I've always had (well, you've got yours set with the left pane a bit wider than I use, but still, it's the same as what I have?

Unless you want to start editing xml files, I think you are going to have to take the presets. Under 'Preferences' you should find a 'Themes' menu item. In there you should find a few options you can twiddle.
