    Crysis Revisited

I played Crysis for an hour this morning. Pretty darn fun! Some feint ghosting and a strange symptom: No shadows. All the objects have shading, but don't cast shadows. Otherwise, it plays pretty smoothly. Will continue testing and may look into the shadows problem.

    Legend of Grimrock Guide

Thanks for the link. Yeah I had originally started the guide before the Linux version was public. Then later it came out. Oh well, I figured just-in-case someone doesn't want to install the Linux version or already has the Windows version installed (dual boot) then this would be a guide to...

If it works, it works. I am using my newest desktop with GeForce 550 Ti and an SSD drive just for testing games. I wanted to prove that modern hardware can run most games in Linux. It that legacy hardware people are having problems with...

Ah a bit Steam guy... I have a love/hate relationship with Steam because its such a cool place to download & launch your games, but the stinking updates drive me nuts. Specially when I have 6 gaming computers for LAN parties. Pain pain pain! I have yet to install Skyrim and I've had it since...

If Cryptic is the developer then they probably used the same engine and probably require the same libraries. The games actually look very similar too... Yes, I have World of Goo, but not Space PIrates/Zombies or Town. I was following Towns development on Moddb.com for a long time, just never...

So do both studios have their own development team or are they contracting someone else to do the actual game development? I'm going to check out Champions and will probably do a guide for it also. Free is GREAT and one way to boost Linux gaming is to provide a bunch of easy-to-install free...

    Champions Online (Free-to-play RPG)

Champions Online Made by the same Cryptic studios who also made Star Trek Online and Neverwinter. So chances are it should run in Wine just fine like the rest of them. Guide anyone? Looks pretty cool, create your own hero and costume, customize your characters powers, and even create your own...

That's pretty awesome! I didn't know anyone beat World of Warcraft with initial launch... Thats what you get Blizzard!!! It really looks like Perfect World has a great business model and is providing what gamers want... lots of content, customization, social interaction, updates. So Cryptic...

Wow, absolutely amazing! I can't believe the detail.... and I can't even see it in high-definition. I'm hoping Skyrim has some amazing effects like that.

    Crysis Revisited

Yes I remember... oh the drama! I expect as much too... I'll be having fun, immersed in the jungle, killing mercenaries and then all of a sudden... Crash. we'll see. I'm not so happy using Wine 1.4, but if it works, it works. I still might request a newer version of Wine with the double-buffer...

Oh I see. so you can launch STO without using Arc. I found that once its downloaded and installed, you can create a shortcut right to the exe and skip Arc all together, but obviously you need to download it through Arc at least once.
