    Crysis Revisited

No problems with that! But it would be nice from time-to-time if you guys tried out my guides on newer versions of Wine to make sure they still work. If not, I can modify the Guide so it stays up-to-date.

    Crysis Revisited

I really looks like there is a memory buffer issue that is still not resolved. There is a special patch that can be applied to Wine, but you have to compile it yourself. Not exactly something that should be included in a Guide. But there are claims that it fixes the memory problem and the game...

    Crysis Revisited

Ha, I knew Daniel would be the first to respond. I will sacrifice my life once again to see it through... At least until this weekend, then I'll work on something else.

    Crysis Revisited

I decided to give Crysis another try with some of these newer versions of Wine and the knowledge I have gained from the last 6 months. What do you want to hear first? The Good or the Bad? The Good: Crysis installs perfectly from DVD Menu interface works perfectly Game launches and I actually...

    League of Legends (3.9)

I had to make some changes to my Guide because a gamers on the PlayOnLinux forum was having problems launching and updating from my original Guide steps. Can one of you confirm that League of Legends works with my current steps? I may try it again over the weekend too

I just hate it when this happens!!

Don't you worry, I still have Crysis on my list and I plan to revisit. Maybe Wine 1.70 will be able to run it?

I just hate it when this happens!!

Works for me... The only reason I use /home as a separate partition is in case Linux gets all screwed up and I have to re-install. I'll just re-install over root and my /home will stay intact. I actually had to do it once on my server and was very thankful.

    A couple of questions

Awesome, at least its working. So far I have mostly tested my games and rarely playing the whole game. The one game I played from beginning to end is Hard Reset. It actually ran really well, no slowdowns and hardly any artifacts. There were a few texture problems, but restarting the game would...

    A couple of questions

Yes, Virtual Desktop is the way to go. I have been using it for most games because of this exact reason. So many times I have to re-set the desktop resolution because the game changed it and then didn't change it back. Virtual Desktop does not seem to affect performance in any way! And it will...

    Path of Exile Guide

RPG's have really come a long way... Starting with text adventures to isometric Diablo hack-n-slash, then FPS Medieval fantasies to third person sci-fi role playing and now simple facebook games where you build farms, level up and help your friends to tower defense in a massive arena where...

    Steam Source Games Guide

Ah, yeah Steam has always been a love/hate relationship with me. Mostly because I have 6 computers and do a lot of offline LAN gaming. So some of the games and mods have problems with offline. Not to mention each computer had to have each game in Steam updated or you couldn't join the server...

    grub problem

Ah, but point-n-click interface is not muscle memory... interesting. Not to mention every interface is different on every OS, program and device. But most bicycles generally ride the same.

    Steam Source Games Guide

Interesting... I'm glad you got it working in Linux. You should post your test results on WineHQ... just follow their instructions carefully and don't mention PlayOnLinux because they will reject it.
