    Fallout 3 Guide

I would have to install Fallout 3 again to test in a newer version of Wine.

    Origin Humble Bundle

I don't see why not. As long as the game files reside in the exact same folder there were found in Windows. Steam works perfectly this way.

    Champions Online (Free-to-play RPG)

Nice, glad you can use the Xbox controller in Windows... now if we can get it working in Linux :D Agreed! DRM free games are the only ones with a single installer. Guess thats never really going to happen since publishers and Devs needs money too.

    Fallout 3 Guide

Cool, yeah that is how the water looked for me... not a "game changer" but the real water looks much cooler. I'm glad you are trying to play at least. Sooner or later the controller support will get better with demanding gamers.

Nah, its just an illusion... I don't even use Linux ;)

The sims 3 installed via Origin, crash during login.

That really sucks. Anyways, can we consider Sims 3 a success even though launcher and logging in doesn't work?

The sims 3 installed via Origin, crash during login.

Ah, were you one of the unfortunate gamers who got "screwed" with EA's servers?

The sims 3 installed via Origin, crash during login.

Oh cool, I didn't realize that. Guess its not "useless" after all. Ok, then when you have time... try applying Wine 1.4.1 and dotnet20 to see if Launcher works. Don't forget to backup your gamefiles first. Just in case it breaks something in the virtual drive

The sims 3 installed via Origin, crash during login.

Looks like you need to install dotnet20 to fix the launcher. This means you can't use any Wine 1.5 version or newer because it dotnet will conflict with Mono. Apparently Mono isn't handling the launcher correctly. So I recommend using Wine 1.4.1 and installing dotnet20. See if that fixes the...

The sims 3 installed via Origin, crash during login.

Cool, looks like DirectX fixed the audio problems... Loging is obviously a problem because without it, the game is useless. I'll check WineHQs and see if anyone has a similar problem

    Fallout 3 Guide

Oh yeah, I forgot. I wasn't impress with Operation Anchorage, but The Pitt is pretty cool. Keep playing and let us know if you have further glitches. Its a really addictive game.

    Champions Online (Free-to-play RPG)

No problem... I'm eventually going to test it myself. Dang, so now its broken on Windows and Linux? Backup the game files first, then try re-installing Arc. So are you meaning each game should already have the directx, vcrun, dotnet, etc already bundled in the download or DVD?

    DOTA 2 on Steam (Free-to-play)

Awesome... intro scenes are usually a video, so maybe a codec problem?

    PlayOnLinux Explained: Components Part 2

Internet Explorer 8 Many games and Windows programs require Internet Explorer to be installed because they use browser-based programming for interfaces and updates. Installing IE8 won't hurt any existing configurations or libraries, but you are required to set Windows version to Windows XP...

    PlayOnLinux Explained: Components Part 1

Components are also called Windows Packages, Libraries and DLL's. Libraries are necessary operating system files that allow games and programs to work. All operating systems have them. Wine has bundled Windows compatible libraries so we can run our PC games and programs in Linux. Sometimes the...

    Origin Humble Bundle

Yeah, Graphics are very sweet... for some reason I can't zoom in with Yuriko campaign. But I can with the other campaigns. Its only dungeon crawler for interior missions, outside missions are like the normal game.

    Champions Online (Free-to-play RPG)

Yes this is very strange. I'm not exactly sure why, but it looks like when you download Arc from the game site, something isn't initiating the install for the specific game.

    DOTA 2 on Steam (Free-to-play)

Same for me... I'm not to great at competitive games so I usually stay away from them. I prefer helping a friend fight together cooperatively. Less frustrating for sure! League of Legends has a cooperative mode where you can create A.I. opponents to fight against. That was kinda fun. Not sure...

    Champions Online (Free-to-play RPG)

Yup, that happend to me also. Guess the best way is to install Arc again in another virtual drive from the Champions Online download. Then Champions should automatically ask to be installed just as Neverwinter did.
