Ok, installing the DirectPlay package worked. I can now join a network game and created characters, but... of course... When the game officially starts, it is super super slow. I think it has something to do with dialog because there is a lot of dialog with voice-overs in the very beginning...

Ok, its running now, but we can't see to create a TCP/IP game. It just hangs on the New Game screen. I looked it up and apparently the game crashes when joining/creating a network game in fullscreen. so I have tried windowed and typical 4:3 resolutions but it still hangs.

yes, I installed gdiplus afterward and I still get the error. There is a CHITIN.KEY file in the game directory and there is even a CD directory. I wonder if there is a DRM issue with it all being bundled together?

Actually, I didn't install the package: gdiplus I wonder if this is required by the game?
