Sounds like you are on the short-end-of-the-stick.... Unfortunately Sims 3 might not run in Linux even though it did in Windows. Drivers can report different performance from both operation systems. Do you know which Intel video chip? For example my Acer Chromebook has an Intel HD 2000 video...

In that case.... I couldn't go 12 hours without a computer either. You always have a tight grasp on Linux and what it can/can't do. So I know you will be successful. What computer do you use at home?

Well it was a miracle in 3 weeks I applied to 23 jobs, 3 responded and two of them I was their "first choice". This has never happened to me at any time in my life! Crazy times ;)

Welcome to the forum Joy! I would love to help.... We may have to do some trial-n-error first because I initially had some problems running Sims 3 as well. Do you know anything else about your system? Video card/chip? Video drivers? Are you able to play any other games in PlayOnLinux?
