    Sid Meier's Pirates! Guide

Ace Patrol actually looks like a cool game! I finally took a look at it. Its not exactly a Skyrim or Borderlands 2 AAA title... so you would think it could run in Wine... Its only $5 on Steam right now

Somehow I knew you were talking about AMD 270 Remember most of us are using Nvidia because Linux is much happier with the drivers. I havn't touched an AMD/ATI card in a long time. Probably never will until AMD gets their drivers together and do us some much needed justice

[News] Crytek Showing Off CryEngine On Linux At GDC

I'm playing Crysis Warhead right now and am loving it! I played more than half of Crysis 2 and it was amazing as well. I loved the sunken street environments among the huge city! Very epic!

[News] Crytek Showing Off CryEngine On Linux At GDC

I figure as much too. The only reason they would port those old game to Linux is because we would buy them, but I'm sure there wouldn't be a lot of profit on their end. Maybe they could charge extra? I don't know... They run ok in PlayOnLinux, but its just not the same :( I am looking...

Ah yes! After 90 hours, I decided to take a break from Skyrim and move on to Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. One day I will go back and play it again.

[News] Crytek Showing Off CryEngine On Linux At GDC

How awesome is that going to be? I've had so many problems with Crysis 1 & 2 & warhead. Hopefully they are making plans to port those over as well. Maybe even Far Cry3 will get a Linux port? Hopeful wishing ;)

What are you currently playing? How's the backlog? March 2014

I was able to get Assassin's Creed II running and there is a post on PlayOnLinux forum about Brotherhood and Revelations running, but you have to purchase them from Uplay. I am able to run Uplay just fine in newer versions of Wine.... I also redeemed my Steam code in Uplay for Brotherhood. So...

Tried it several times and securom just won't work. All my research confirms it as well. So for now.. no guide until it works. Most people that got Bioshock 2 running had to use a "no-cd crack" and I don't want to encourage that. Thanks a lot securom!

I have the same results as well. Most game run well and some of those AAA titles run with small gliches and I can live with those. Borderlands 2 - I found out that there are some awesome DirectX 10 features that I just can't get with PlayOnLinux. The game runs a bit smoother in Windows and all...

By the way, I was reading your output again and the font errors are because of xactengine and xaudio. I know there is an xact package you can install and xaudio is there as well... I think. I recommend doing a manuall installation this time and use the packages we have talked about. Make sure...

I'll be honest, its not easy to install any games when you do manual installation all by yourself. I have spent hours installing games like Crysis over and over again. Trying different versions of Wine, different libraries and different configurations. It can be very frustrating. 90% of the...

It appears that its part of Visual C 2010 not 2012 Guess you could always try it the windows way.... vcrdist_x86.exe I recommend starting over at this point because you already installed vcrun2010 and they might conflict

Thats cool, I didn't know you could install games in other folders other than SteamApps/Common What about Wine? Can you use different versions of Wine and libraries for each separate game?

Thats right. I've never seen msvcp110 before. I don't even remember seeing it available in PlayOnLinux packages either. Its definitely related to Visual C I recommend installing everything related to Visual C and see what happens. vbrun6 vcrun2005 vcrun2008 vcrun2010 msvc80 msvc90 msvc100 crt...
