IBM Power as a server for Linux games

There are Linux distro's that run on ARM processors, but I really doubt Wine will. So who knows if there is a distro for POWER8 architecture. If not, there probably will be at some point.

    Star Trek Online Guide

If STO is running 1024x768 that is because of the virtual desktop setting in Wine Configuration. Just go to the STO display/video options and set it to match your Linux desktop. Then it will appear fullscreen.

    Lego Star Wars Guide

I have tested LEGO Indiana Jones 2 with a newer version of Wine 1.6.2 and it runs flawlessly. Try it with LEGO Star Wars as well.

Ah, so its the Awesomium.exe browser bundled with Wine/Gecko that is having a problem with Arial. Its strange to me because I can run WinSteam, Uplay, Origins and Arc without any font problems. Maybe its because they don't use Arial? I hope Wine Dev fix the problem because I'm sure other clients...

    Moddb.com ads a Linux Tab

Yeah, i saw that. Did they really say ut4 would be free! I'm shocked it is going to be free, but. Then again the last unreal tournament didn't require a cd in the drive, so you could install it as many times as you want.

    Everquest II

I am in Mint 16 64-bit, but I'm going to wait on Everquest II since the download is so stinking big. Now I am interested in the "Streaming" version, but I don't totally understand how it works. Does it download content as needed? For example, if you go to a new area does it take 10 minutes to...

    Moddb.com ads a Linux Tab

Oops, forgot about GOG... which is kinda ironic because most of their games work fine in Wine. I didn't know about Codemaster and WMD Portal. I'll keep an eye on those as well. I'm definitely curious to see what Epic can come up with for Unreal. They have pushed the whole "tournament" idea as...

    Everquest II

I just signed up. I didn't realize Everquest was Sony. Cool  I've been wanting to play FreeRealms for a long time, but never did. I created a Station/Username and downloaded the thinclient. Will be trying it out tonight in Linux to see what happens.

    Everquest II

Seriously? So you download a 13 MB thinclient, then it patches up the game. Are we talking hundreds of Megabytes? Thats awesome! And I was worried that it might be 3-6 GB :rolling: I'll check it out tonight

    Scorn Planet

I know Scorn Planet is Windows only, but its an Indie game developed by a single person. That won't stop my from trying it in PlayOnLinux, but you never know if he is going to port to Linux. Its actually quite impressive and I'm looking forward to seeing more development. Seems like a typical...

Thats a good idea. Do you know how large the full game is? I'm thinking of registering and trying in PlayOnLinux as well.

Kinda strange results on WineHQs The "Extended" version has test results from really old version of Wine, but the "Full Version" has test results from newer versions of Wine like 1.6 and 1.7.14 You might as well post your debug so we can see if there are any other errors.

    Everquest II

I just remembered there is a POL_Install_RegisteredFonts package. Maybe that one has Arial in it. If not, then just download Arial from one of those Windows fonts sites and save it in: c:\Windows\fonts This still doesn't guarantee that Wine will see the font, but it should. Strange error...
