    Team Fortress 2

Whoa, that grid of blue squares? Never seen anything like that before. Are you using AMD drivers? Is this in PlayOnLinux or Linux Steam?

    Frustrated with Mint 16

I considered that as well, so in Fallout 3 and Risen I have switched several Wine versions including CSMT and doublebuffer, then even tried resolutions and graphics settings on low but still get really bad frame stutters. Maybe it is related to a library that Daerandin is speaking of when I...

    Frustrated with Mint 16

Me too... I went ahead and tried the Wine Alsa solution linked in your thread. The "underrun" errors are gone, but games are still running slow. I know its not my hardware or configuration because I didn't have these problems previously on Mint 14.

did I mention that I didn't create the .asoundrc? Does your tutorial require this?

You are right, I get this error with dmix and device_id=1 W: [pulseaudio] sink.c: Default and alternate sample rates are the same. So removing /home/booman/.pulse/default.pa will reduce drop-outs or is there something I need to comment/uncomment in /etc/pulse/default.pa? Also, in your tutorial, should I still add: load-module module-alsa-sink device_id=1 load-module module-alsa-sink device_id=2 Even though I only want...

League Of Legends on Ubuntu lol Lancher.exe has encountered

I forgot to tell you that I did login to League of Legends and started a match. Loading all of the Players takes a while, but I was in-game and actually played a bit. No problems. Not even a store crash.

    Frustrated with Mint 16

I was going to try Mint 16 64-bit because I read if you use 64-bit Wine the problem doesn't exist, but then I realized that these games all require 32-bit virtual drives and PlayOnLinux is only 32-bit. So it probably won't change anything. I also downloaded Ubuntu 14.10 Beta, but I hesitate to...

I'm not sure what version of Blackbox you are using, but here is a Blog with some steps on how to install Intel drivers: Install xserver-xorg-video-intel Of course this is at your own risk. installing drivers can break things in Linux if they are not supported by your hardware or Linux distro...

I don't mind waiting, but should I still post my Guides if I'm having performance issues? This is why I'm frustrated... the main reason I use Linux is for PlayOnLinux and games. Since my games are having problems related to audio, I'm not sure if others will have similar problems as well. I...

League Of Legends on Ubuntu lol Lancher.exe has encountered

Blackbox must be using open-source drivers. What video chip is your computer using: Intel, AMD, Nvidia? I recommend searching online on how to install the proprietary drivers. Open source drivers rarely get the performance games need from the video chip.

Really sucks because what was going on with Mint 14 that made audio work just fine but Mint 16 is having problems?

I'm still having a problem. I have tried your .asoundrc script and games are still slow. I have tried Wine's suggestion with .asoundrc and changes in default.pa but still slow. I have even confirmed that pulseaudio isn't running and games are still choppy. I tried the changes in daemon.conf: ...

0A.D. is pretty harmless installation. I've never used Blackbox, but Ubuntu and Mint should have it in the software installer. Just search for 0A.D. and install it. Otherwise, there are a bunch of other free games out there: Free Linux Games Something 3D is preferred so we know if the video...
