Is it time to self quarantine"

"The leader of a team working on a vaccine, Professor Sarah Gilbert, from Oxford University said scientists believed it was possible to become infected with Covid-19 more than once." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/health-52344676/coronavirus-possible-to-be-infected-with-covid-19-more-than-once

Is it time to self quarantine"

The thing to remember about the statistics is that some countries are doing more testing so they will find more cases, and the death tolls only count people who die in hospitals. It can look like some countries are doing better than they really are. Obviously North Korea doesn't really have...

As of today they have set-up a lab locally which can do testing with results available the same day, instead of having to use limited facilities in the UK. They'll be testing hospital patients and workers first.

Is it time to self quarantine"

Bear in mind that virus particles travel up to 8 metres when someone sneezes, and possibly further inside buildings with fans/aircon. Normal breathing travels 2 metres. It's not possible that a 1 metre distance is keeping you safe, it will be because of something else, e.g. nobody you work with...

I hope its working. The figures can be a bit confusing because of the way people are tested and counted. I'm not sure if they're only attributing deaths in hospitals to COVID-19. How can anyone really count anything correctly in a place like India for example?

I work for my cousin who has government contracts. We look after six schools, a sports complex and miles and miles of coastal footpaths. The sports complex is now serving as a facility for the politicians to use, its spacious so they can spread themselves out. Technically we just work for the...

Yes, they act as if a virus is going to politely synchronize with their neat little schedule.

Oh, and we only have 16 confirmed cases out of 110,000 people. Hopefully, that's correct and doesn't increase.

Our politicians are the kind of people who would otherwise be organising something like yard sales. That's how qualified they are to deal with a major crisis. Our chief is just an unremarkable accountant selected to keep the finance industry happy I'd presume. No leadership skills of any sort...

I'm not quite buying the idea that China has this completely under control. They don't count cases where the test comes back positive but the person has no symptoms (yet)! The worry is that their leaders just want everyone back working in factories regardless of the risks.

Local schools are closing Friday and nationally they're also cancelling exams in England and Wales. Only 6 people have tested positive locally out of a population of about 110,000, but hard to say if that's the real picture.
