    The PPA worked because it downloaded, but the installation was rather transparent. Won't the "upgrade" install Mint 16? I'll do some more research. You would think Mint 14 could still install newer video drivers?

    Yeah still in Alpha, but what an amazing indie game and stunning visuals. I was able to play the Alpha in Mint too. I'm not a huge strategy gamer, buts I have to admit its pretty awesome for a free game.

    Really? I wonder how it does that? I always imagined that you could go into the system BIOS and disable the Intel GPU and set the default as Nvidia. This is a common problem with laptops. With a desktop I purchased a dedicated video card and it is always the default for video.

    I've had the same experience with my Acer C7 Chromebook. It has an Intel HD 2000 chip and some games do exactly that same thing! I've even tried a few games in PlayOnLinux and the models/assets appear, but no textures. Everything is just white. I'm guessing it is a shader issue. Those olde HD...
