    Using rsync for backup

Awesome, I wonder if this could be a guide? Maybe we should have a forum for Other Guides? Thank you for posting this script. You might want to show beginners how to save it with gedit as an .sh

    Using rsync for backup

Reminds me of Robocopy for Windows. I actually use FWBackups on my Fedora Server. I don't use compressed folder for my backup, but instead do a full copy of every directory. Since I rarely have my server on, I only run it every once-in-a-while manually. But it works perfectly! I copy to an...

    NEC Mobile Pro 790

Not a bad idea. FreeBSD might actually bring some life to it, but the install isn't quite as simple as a Linux distro. What does it have for hard drive? is the CF card the hard drive or is there something internal?

Even if you could put Linux on it, would the hardware be supported?

    NEC Mobile Pro 790

Windows CE? Geesh, how many versions of Windows are out there? 168MHz CPU and 32 MB of RAM? Really? Wow an amazing 640x240 resolution and only 64,000 colors... OMG! Connects to your PC via serial cable or infared.... :( I've never seen one of these devices before. In its day this was...

    League of Legends Guide

I need some more information on your computer... What Distro are you running? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit? What video card do you have? Did you install the drivers for the video card? Can you run other games on your computer? All of these are critical to a successful gaming experience.

    Metro 2033

You are probably right, but look at Valve and their risk-taking steps entering the Linux gaming world. They have ported almost every Source game they developed to Linux. It would be a good idea for other developers to follow suit. So I hope it has crossed their mind. Otherwise 2033 won't run on...

    Metro 2033

Yeah, I would wait on this one for now. I read the same thing... buggy and not happy with Wine. But since Last Light is fully LInux compatible, there is a chance they will port 2033 to Linux too. Good game by the way.

    Diablo 3 On Linux

Maybe you could explain your computer environment for us... Do you have sever at home or a 2nd computer acting as a server? What kinds of network are you using? Wireless? I honestly think you should either mount your home in your computer, granted there is enough space, or just re-install...

    Linux Mint 16!!

I'm waiting for a long weekend (ironically I just had a 4 day weekend) so if I have any issues with the upgrade, I can re-install from scratch. Graywolf - I'm glad switching over was a clean breeze. I've loved the fact that your home can be on a separate partition and then Linux can be...

    Lost in Space

Yes this is very strange behavior. Since Linux live runs fine, I'm guessing your hardware isn't the issue. So you are not able to even boot into Windows again? It sounds like something happend to the Boot Loader or somehow Grub was installed and isn't working.

    Diablo 3 On Linux

Ok, can you find out how they setup your home on a network? Is it on a server, other computer or external hard drive?

    Alien vs. Predator 2

Dude Bladeforce has a plethora of Linux gaming knowledge that we all need to tap into. Ironically I had a similar problem with TimeShift. I started with newer versions of Wine and it refused to launch. I had to go back to Wine 1.3 and it runs perfectly. Who knew?

    Diablo 3 On Linux

Well I figured you would know because you reported that your home is over a network. How did you put it over the network? Or did someone else set it up for you?
