    The Stanley Parable

The game itself is very short, although you can quickly spend more time than you intended simply be attempting to see what happens if you make a different turn. I quite enjoy the humor in the game. I saw one video about the game that also made me think it was repetitive, however I was quite...

    The Stanley Parable

I don't have SDK installed, and it plays great. The only problem I've seen is that certain lights can be seen through walls, but I've not really tried to fix as it does not bother me. I just installed this in my standard steam virtual drive that I always try first for new games I test. I don't...

    Nvidia 331.20 driver

It does not seem to affect everyone. This may be only a problem for laptop users for all I know, or maybe only certain models. There are currently two topics about this on Arch forums, some on nvidia forums, and I came across one on Fedora forums as well through some googling, and a bug report...

    The Stanley Parable

The Stanley Parable available on steam, have got to be one of the most intriguing games I've played in a long time. I really find it difficult to explain except that it is just so entertaining, and thing never seem to be the same in the game. I have been playing it for a couple of hours now and...

    Starcraft II Guide

Updated the guide to use a custom install instead of the old PlayOnLinux script as it will be much easier for me to maintain and update.

    F.E.A.R. 1 & F.E.A.R. 2 Guide

D3dx9 is installed automatically on steam when running FEAR the first time. I am glad it works for the DVD install as well.

    F.E.A.R. 1 & F.E.A.R. 2 Guide

These games combine first person shooter with horror elements in a very well done way. The original FEAR as well as the sequel have a very good mix of shooting and horror sequences. This guide will explain how you can set up Steam with wine so that you can run FEAR 1 with both expansions, as...

    Nvidia 331.20 driver

I downgraded to 325.15, I was beginning to notice more issues so I'll stick with 325.15 until these bugs are fixed. I strongly advise against the 331.20 nvidia driver. That's one nice thing about Arch, I get to experience bugs in new versions before most other distros, haha.

    Nvidia 331.20 driver

For anyone considering updating to the newest nvidia driver, I would suggest against it. It seems to introduce some issues. Many have reported that they can no longer close the terminal by pressing ctrl-d or even typing exit. Ctrl-c to stop a running process in terminal also seem to no longer...

    My Games

Actually I'm just about to do some extended testing with wine 1.7.5 as I've had good experience with other games on that version with very good performance, it is the most likely choice for my guide. I see I forgot to mention it in my post above. Anyway, transparent self body is not a big issue...

    My Games

Gaming and Linux combined seem to be a strong enough force to make me social, problem with me is that once you get me started, I'm difficult to shut up. Over to FEAR, the transparent weapon and self body seem to be present on all the new wine versions, but on 1.3.18 it seemed to display...

    My Games

I'm afraid I'm not on facebook, I am the kind of person that mostly try to avoid any form of socializing, haha.

    My Games

I have not tried Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader or Jade Empire. Honestly, I have many games, especially on GOG that were part of deals during sales, such as "buy 5 games for 10$" deals they sometimes have, and I'll spot 3 games I want among those listed, and just pick two other at random to...

    Portal 2: $5. Good deal.

I have played that game quite a lot, actually. Just haven't tested it on Linux yet since I know valve will release a Linux version some time. It is a very entertaining game, and the cooperative mode is just plain awesome.

    My Games

Actually, I played through all of FEAR 1, and quite a bit of FEAR 2, so they both work. I just want to check if I can get them to work without the see-through weapon. I have a plan, testing with one of the newest wine versions, and the one claimed to work well on the winehq bug report, which is...

    Downloading gog.com games

The lgogdownloader, which I prefer, allow you to continue previously stopped downloads. The download speeds are also very good. With large downloads, you can be unlucky enough to have a corrupted download, although those are uncommon. The lgogdownloader should never provide broken downloads. It...

Heroes of Might and Magic 1 & 2 Guide

I just created a generic DosBox guide which will be used for the basic setup steps for all my DosBox guides. This guide was shorted to avoid repeating the steps mentioned in the DosBox guide.

    DosBox Generic Guide

Most DosBox games are pretty similar to set up, so I have made this generic DosBox guide with steps to follow for any DosBox games I write guides for. Since a lot of old Dos games are available on gog.com, I also include steps here for downloading and extracting installers from GOG for use with...

Heroes of Might and Magic 1 & 2 Guide

I can give it some thought, I suppose it would all depend on what people would prefer. For most DosBox games all steps are the same, the only real difference will be in the config file for the specific game.

Heroes of Might and Magic 1 & 2 Guide

There are of course other methods to perform such tasks, but this really is cleanest way to get a GOG game for DosBox set up, at least in my opinion. Of course, any other method that works is just as valid. I decided to just explain how to create a shortcut file independent of any desktop...
