Graphics set to lowest / disabled increased the fps from 5-15 to 15-25. At the very least when I played GW 2 back in the day it didn't run shit like this. It ran much better.

I'm not sure if you're referring to me, but it has nothing to do with talent. It's all about seeking the right knowledge for the task and some willpower. I remember when I first installed Gentoo, on a Saturday. I spent 8 hours straight installing and re-installing Gentoo until I got it right.

I'm not a big fan of canonical. Then again, I'm not big on non rolling release distros either. But definitely, Mint > Ubuntu.

Xfce uses a bit more resources than Openbox but not much. If you have all the extra stuff with openbox like tint2 panel and such the difference isn't much at all. I've been using KDE Plasma 5 for some time now, but it looks like I will be going back to Xfce on my desktop.
