I've read that AMD open source and proprietary drivers are much better these days. Don't know from experience, but if its true, then these AMD chips should be a "pain point"
My AMD (Ryzen 1/Vega 8) APU-based laptop had some teething troubles, but is now trouble free - all open source AMD drivers. I don't see anything that would make me blink in that hardware configuration - only that you probably won't get the THX special sauce with the sound.
