Receiving an item makes the game crash

When I play online and I get an item the game closes abruptly and I go back to the steam client. It's not a big deal as I can play offline but I suppose is better to report the problem, I dont know if there is a proper place to report these things. Btw Im using debian jessie 8.5
 
Yes, we need to know which game and a bit about your Debian system.
Are you using 64-bit?
What video card/chip are you using?
Are you using native Steam or windows Steam in PlayOnLinux?
