There is a slot for general linux guides, but my last post to there was a sound fix for skyrim, and soon a script for arch that will enable sound fallbacks between WINE and ALSA / PulseAudio / JACKd (if I can find the stupid thing). Could there be a better label for just programs only? Should they just be slotted under wine / POL? Wat do. Do wat.
We decided on Generic because anything that is not guide about installing a game can go there. I might do some "how to install Linux" guides or "how do setup a dedicated game server" guides in the future. So generic was broad enough to encompass any of them.
Good thought. Also, if no one would mind, I was going to do a "How To Set Up whatever game server" just as a handy tool.
yeah! I still use my Battlefield 2, Unreal Tournament and Quake Wars dedicated servers in my Fedora server. I run them as LAN games for my window$ machines.
Let's get them written, put them in generic for the time being, and when there are enough of them finished we can consider making new forums and figure out the naming scheme.
