Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

You know, about two days ago I thought about this movie for the first time in years.
"What goes round comes around."

Sometimes I wish I had more "flat" days. My never ending love for the complete monsters in charge of our every breath can be overwhelming.

Scandal Featuring Patti Smyth The Warrior

I like Patty Smyth. I always thought she was underrated. Here is my favorite, the best cover ever of Tom Waits's 'Downtown Train'. Maybe one of the best songs ever written, lyrically IMHO:

Outside another yellow moon
Punched a hole in the nighttime, yes
I climb through the window and down the street
I'm shining like a new dime
The downtown trains are full
With all those Brooklyn girls
They try so hard to break out of their little worlds

You wave your hand and they scatter like crows
They have nothing that will ever capture your heart
They're just thorns without the rose
Be careful of them in the dark
Oh if I was the one
You chose to be your only one
Oh baby can't you hear me now

Will I see you tonight
On a downtown train
Every night its just the same
You leave me lonely, now

I know your window and I know it's late
I know your stairs and your doorway
I walk down your street and past your gate
I stand by the light at the four-way
You watch them as they fall
Oh baby, they all have heart attacks
They stay at the carnival
But they'll never win you back

Will I see you tonight
On a downtown train
Where every night is just the same

Will I see you tonight
On a downtown train
All of my dreams just fall like rain
All on a downtown train

And here's the original, I think Patty captured Tom's vision of what the song represents far, far better than Rod Stewart did:

This a landmark song, you have that correctly. I think I like Patty Smyth's rendition even better than the original.
Rod who? I have never been a true fan of Mr Stewart. He was inescapably popular way back but he has ALWAYS bugged me. Perhaps his ego isn't as big as a Boeing hangar? I know, I know bigger than a Boeing colossal hangar.

I actually stopped him cold for a second during a San Francisco performance. All I shouted was "Faces."
