All my USB ports shut of randomly and don't turn back on - Plz Help

Bet that rocket fuel would be quicker, more spectacular and leave less ashes. Cheaper to ship that way. Wait, it's H-P that is the problem? Interviewed there for a job of work, long, long ago. Didn't hear from them. But the outfit that made wiring harnesses for the MX rocket wanted me badly...

    Updating Nvidia Drivers - Mint

Can't remember what video card driver I chose for Mint 17.3, pretty certain that it was one of the nvidia's. When I chose one of the nvidia drivers on offer for 19.1 my installation became a disaster. With the next install I let 19.1 choose the driver that Mint 19.1 wanted, which was the x-org...

Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Both women had unforgettable voices. Thank you for posting Teresa Brewer, love how she sounds and I almost forgot her.

Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Thanks for explaining it, I really like it now. Not so much, yeah I'm a spoilsport sometimes. He does handle playing cards very impressively.

More reason to insist on a pre-built machine

Read yesterday that W10 lies about keeping it's backup cache that remembers changes you've made to the OS updated. It tells you that you just updated---but it's a lie--W10 doesn't REALLY take note of the update. They're trying to keep backup space down, they worry that maybe 100 Mb is too much...

More reason to insist on a pre-built machine

Shazam! And you weren't hooked on HP's quality for life? Just look at how big that HDD was--they obviously loved you long time!

Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Well dog my cats! Yay! At the memorial show for George Harrison at the Albert Hall Mr McCartney noticeably snubbed Ringo. Ringo simply looked confused for a moment. I don't congratulate Paul McCartney for this, I think it was a big cheap shot.

More reason to insist on a pre-built machine

You'd think that at least they would have removed the sticker. Had an HP printer long ago, but that's it. Twenty pounds? Sheesh, how huge was it?

Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

I was grabbed by this song, in my selfishness I thought it was all about me. Bet I wasn't the only one!

Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

That these four amazingly talented musicians came from the same city on Earth simply astounds me to this day. Maybe there are reasons that I don't know to prevent Ringo from being knighted, but it seems only fair to me. "Sir" him too, please. I guess you have to be old enough, some of the kids...

Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

I have to strain to understand some of the words he speaks. Not worth the effort, imho. Not attempting to disagree with you, maybe I wasn't in the same mood when I saw it?

    Updating Nvidia Drivers - Mint

Thank you for your assistance Dan. I know that Blu-rays don't play on the CD-ROM drive in my PC. DVD's played just fine on this same player when I used Mint 17.3. It's important that I be able to play DVD's on my PC because the sun makes it hard to see my TV on some days. I know, move the tv...

    Updating Nvidia Drivers - Mint

Seems that VLC is the very best choice. If push comes to shove I'll need to install Mint 17.3 again--just so I can play videos. Would I need another SSD to do this? Or can I partition my SDD to make this retreat to the past possible. Can you watch DVD's on your Mint 19.1 PC Dan? If so, PLEASE...
