She's a very interesting artist. I listen to very little music in my old age, the best of it grabs my emotions too much. I can't find the lyrics for this tune. As I understand none of them the emotional thrust of this song seems to be lighthearted about a very dark subject. Hope I'm wrong...

I missed the majority of her material for many years. I wasn't crazy about "Chuck E's In Love" and imagined that that was the way she was for years thereafter. It's nice to be wrong many times more than I usually admit to. Thank you Dan, these are great songs!

Quite a song. Oh for the days when NPR lived up to its name. They later started to starve it of money so the fat (is evil necessary to say?) cats slowly took it over and it became useless, at least to this non fat cat worshiper.
