Your need to repay a kindness is honorable and admirable. But totally unneeded imho. Please, save the money for some need you don't yet know you have. In this wicked economy some unfair bill is always festering in the dark!

Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

Oh, I loves me some of those "tv preachers." Their phoniness is so thick that it shocks me that anyone would ever believe a single word from their sometimes surprisingly ugly faces.

Thanks! But I still own a car. I'm pretty much disabled these days, tbh. I have a friend who does the food shopping and runs errands and takes me to appointments. Asking him to do so via public transit is a bridge too far. I wish I'd bought a smaller auto 14 years ago. This machine isn't shy...

Nice song very old fashioned in parts but completely modern in others. Interesting, thank you for posting it.

One of the very few steps I've taken in the right direction. I stopped smoking about five years ago. That's less oxygen burned and less irritation for eyes everywhere. Very tiny contribution but more than nothing.

This makes sense but I always feel squirmy when people are very kind and give me stuff. Deep down I suppose I feel that I don't deserve them. Thank you very, very much for your wonderful offer. Humans are so bloody minded that there's only a tiny chance that we won't kill all of ourselves within the next forty years. This doesn't mean that we should stop fighting the good fight!

Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

I always thought that "The Cars" was a strange name for a band. Liked "Just What I Needed" a lot back in the late Seventies iirc. Love to see the bass player singing lead.
