I finally installed Skyrim and the High Resolution Texture Mod and it works great on my GeForce GTX 950.
I did a few tests like loading an old game and starting a new game. Then I turned on the texture pack and turned it off. There are definitely some fixed textures that look way better and...
Agreed... did you have any problems with black textures?
I was able to fix most of them by disabling GLSL and turning off the Tactical mode in-game. Even after that a few assets would turn black here and there.
Holy Moses! Why is it so much?
That is CRAZY!
Would it be cheaper for me to buy it and ship it to you? Or is this a currency conversion issue?
Can you purchase used video cards somewhere?
Oh really? What language are you installing?
I'll have to try the separate packages and installer. I don't mind this either, but what will happen is the game will still update after its installed.
So we are basically installing the base-game and then allowing it to patch up when we launch it.
You nailed it to a "T" Daniel.
This is exactly why I use Mint and LOVE Mint.
Since I was a Windows gamer before Linux, I was used to holding on to my Windows XP and now Windows 7. I rarely updated and rarely installed new graphics drivers. If its not broken and stable... don't fix it ;)

I was able to install Age Of Wushu by using the provided client and installing it. Then upon launch the game would start downloading.
Just like in this guide above.
Do you have 32-bit libraries installed?
Yes, we are all having the same problem. There is an anti-cheat program in place that is preventing Age Of Wushu from launching. Strangely I got it to work one time this month and then it stopped.
You might have to post a bug at WineHQs bugzilla
Awesome! You are really getting "the hang" of PlayOnLinux.
That is my goal with the guides... teaching you how PlayOnLinux works so you can install your own games with the same process. I'm glad its working!
As for video card, I recommend a GeForce 750 Ti because it should cost around $100.00...
Or any free-to-play Steam game that you want to add to your library. Can't add it from the website, so until steamwebhelper.exe is fixed you can't play those at all.
Did you follow the guide Lorena, or did you just do your own manual installation?
The freezing may be due to AMD drivers and your video card...
I didn't have any problems with freezing
I guess that is possible. I used FPS Optimizer also to increase view distance and a few other graphical settings. I wish MGE worked.... you might want to try it again as well.
Unfortunately if MGE doesn't work, I think you have to re-install the entire game.
Great, if you have memory leaks or memory problems, technically you can set Memory Size larger than the memory available on your video card. It won't stop the leaks but can slow them down.
