Get ready to shit yourselves: The future of linux compatibility.

I like the sound of that, but what I'm tired of is KEY's, Anti Virus, Driver issues, KEY's, Licenses... did I already write KEY's? I have to mess with Microsoft stuff all day in IT Keeping track of which Office Keys and which Windows Keys go where and to whom. It wears you out. I actually had...

MMORPG's that run well on POL ?

I've always stayed away from World of Warcraft because of cost. I'm really loving the free-to-play MMORPGs like Star Trek Online, Neverwinter, Spiral Knights, Wakfu, Champions Online, Guild Wars 2, Age of Wushu and many more...

Get ready to shit yourselves: The future of linux compatibility.

But you still need a copy of Windows I already have copies of Windows 7 and Windows 8, but my goal is to migrate away from Windows completely one day. I have 6 gaming computers for LAN parties and I would love to put them all on Linux and never give Microsoft another penny. So this option...

Why We Want Native Ports Only (Gaming On Linux)

Yeah I watched that video... Pretty cool, but unfortunately you still need a copy of Windows. Definitely a cool work-around like Steam streaming, but much better performance

    Amnesia: The Dark Descent

I've already had a copy for a long time. Haven't play it yet because its low in my list of game to play. I was thinking of getting another copy for my 2nd Steam account, but I don't really have a good ready why.

Thank you for posting the debug. Unfortunately this might be a results of AMD drivers... really hard to tell. You may have to update to the newest driver, but its not an easy thing to troubleshoot if the install goes wrong. There are a lot of errors like this one: The /usr/lib/i386 means...

    Guild Wars 2 Guide

Don't apologize! I love to help! Ok, since you are using Mint, go to: Menu Software Installer Search: ia32-libs Double-click Click Install It might be a good idea to restart, not sure if you have to or not. Then try launching Guild Wars 2 again.

Need advice Distro needed, no gaming needed.

Nope, no CD necessary unless you are trying to install on a really really really really old computer. :D I've had to use CD ROM for old servers, but even 8-year-old Dell servers will boot to USB. Let us know which disto you try first and how it goes. Make sure you DON'T install it on your hard...

    Guild Wars 2 Guide

I'm not sure which Distro you are using... 32-bit libraries have to be installed to play most games. Specially in PlayOnLinux (Wine) In the past Ubuntu made a package called ia32-libs which you could install. It would handle all of the 32-bit libraries required to run programs.

    Rocket League Guide

Right, totally forgot about Arch, but Ubuntu and even Mint do not initially have them installed. Luckily, Mint still supports the ia32-libs package when Ubuntu does not. I guess if you know what you are doing, you could get away from using 32-bit all together, but that is impossible for me and...

    Guild Wars 2 Guide

The biggest I've see so far is Tera: 42 GB I didn't have enough space on any of my machines to download it and test it. I don't understand why its so big when games like Neverwinter and Skyrim are under 10 GB

I hope some day distro's will automatically pack 32-bit libraries for us. I know everyone is trying to move away from 32-bit, but its never going to go away since 500,000 programs are only 32-bit compatible.

Need advice Distro needed, no gaming needed.

In Mint I have been able to install most programs and packages with "Software Manger" or "Synaptics Package Manager" But in the event of a download online, like a game, graphics program, or some kind of productivity application... I've been able to install all of them: zip tar gz.tar deb bin...

MMORPG's that run well on POL ?

Yeah Spiral Knights is very "arcade" but has some interesting features. Its kinda like Mario meets Zelda Drakensang is amazing! Wonderful graphics, less than 1GB download (streams on initial installation) Intense action, lots of weapons, loot and enemies. There is a lot of repetition as well...
