    Installing Guild Wars 2

Very strange, I've never heard of a launcher creating a leak... But I have heard of games that crash when loading or clients downloading data. Keep me up to date because this Friday I'm going to test it as well

    Installing Guild Wars 2

You are using Wine not PlayOnLinux correct? So the installer is causing the memory leak? Not the game?

    Linux Mint at Work

Agreed I used our work Enterprise license and each installation should be included in the number of CAL's we have purchased. I'm dual booting Win7/Mint and VirtualBox Win7 So that is two licenses

    Linux Mint at Work

I'm doing some reading and found some people posting about OEM copies of Windows are ilegal to use in VM, while retail copies are.

    Linux Mint at Work

My boss told me that running Windows 7 in a VM VirtualBox with our Enterprise KEY is illegal because Microsoft requires us to purchase a Virtual License KEY. Has anyone heard of this? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me because the Windows 7 activated and is absolutely legitimate. I'm not...

    Installing Guild Wars 2

If I find a game with memory leaks in Wine, I will normally use a "doublebuffer" version of Wine I'll continue to check-in at WineHQ's to see if anyone is going to post results on the Free-To-Play version We will definitely get it working... GW2 has worked in the past in Wine and should continue...

Why We Want Native Ports Only (Gaming On Linux)

Agreed, polls can really prove anything I wonder what the real numbers are for Steam? I don't really care about percentage, I'm just curious how many people are downloading and playing games in Linux Steam

    Installing Guild Wars 2

I will probably wait for this weekend and check it out. I already signed up, but 25 GB could take a while. I'll check WineHQ's too for any pre-setup or libraries needed to run it in Wine

    Starcraft II Guide

I hate it when that happens  Some game refuse to run at high settings and others run just fine. I had a similar problem with Bioshock 2. Low settings ran fine, but looked horrible, high settings... crash!

    Chrome or Chromium?

I just realized that there is a version of Chrome available for Ubuntu 14 LTS and Mint 17 Its "beta" but its exactly the same as Chromium as far as I can tell. What is the difference between Chromium and Chrome? Why isn't Chrome in my Software Manager? The reason I stumbled on this is because...

    E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy Guide

Awesome! Glad E.Y.E is running in PlayOnLinux I'm actually surprised they don't have a native version, specially with the Source Engine. Did you know you can upload and insert your screenshots and they will resize automatically when you click them? Instead of using the thumbnails. I found that...

Why We Want Native Ports Only (Gaming On Linux)

I'm tired of whiners who whine about a lot of things. Linux gamers are a minority and we won't get a lot of benefits for a long time. I'm happy that we are getting all the gaming attention this year from several outlets and I have nothing to complain about. I'll only have good and productive...

    SteamOS and PlayOnLinux

I've read a few posts here and there... PlayOnLinux is able to run in SteamOS, but its harder to set up everything due to the desktop/window managers that aren't exactly easy to access. From what I've read, SteamOS starts in a Big Picture mode where you can do everything you want Steam related...
