    Surface Pro 3

Very nice tablet computer! Our Director at work had us purchase one for him and I was very impressed with the resolution! Super high on such a small screen That Intel HD 4400 should provide plenty of gaming power for most medium quality games. Hell, I would love to see Torchlight running in...

    Need a Video Card

Notice how the GeForce 750 Ti still performs nicely in those benchmarks? I can pick up one of those for $100 The 950 sounds GREAT, but in the long run I can't afford it. Ideally I want to replace all of my video cards which means purchasing 4 cards total.

    Linux Mint at Work

As far as I know the proprietary software is using Java for the GUI So I normally install Sybase, then use Windows ODBC to connect Sybase to our database. Then I launch our Applications with a .bat file which launches Java-based GUI That is about it. Never tried it in Linux and I know there is...

    Need a Video Card

I looked up a few cards on newegg.com and still want the 750 Ti There are a few that are about $100.00 I'll never regret spending a bit more on a video card Hence how my 8800's and 9800's are still cranking games.

    Dell Inspirion One

Hmm, I'll look that one up. I was thinking Ubuntu because it will be a family computer like the Large-Laptop, but I really like Mint Cinnamon as well. It has a newer AMD video card and 4 GB RAM. So it should handle just about anything.

    Linux Mint at Work

I have a feeling there are as well. We use an ODBC connection with Sybase, but I have no idea how to do that in Linux. The funny thing is our database is hosted on an old Solaris Unix server. But the proprietary software is Windows only. Who comes up with this stuff? Lets host everything in...

    Wine 1.7.51 Steam dwrite fixed

Dang, that is what I was afraid of. I noticed that if you use the "-no-dwrite" argument in PlayOnLinux when you launch Steam, then remove the argument, the fonts still work. Not sure what it means, but for now, we still need it set.

    Magic Duels runtime error

I'm pretty sure this /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/p11-kit-trust.so: means you don't have 32-bit libraries installed. That may help, but you have been playing games in Linux all along, so I'm not sure why its complaining about it?

    Magic Duels runtime error

No problem. I've noticed some games crash or hang-up on incompatible libraries. But the debug will probably tell us that as well.

    Magic Duels runtime error

Go to the game folder and look for a directory like: support redist You will probably find the necesarry libraries needed to play it. Like Direct X, Visual C, etc... Or when you launch the game, does it start installing Dot NET Framework, Direct X, Visual C+ or anything else?

Thanks! I might actually play through this one. Almost purchased two because of co-op, but there were too many bad reviews on the co-op functionality
