    League of Legends Guide

Its a good idea to try out some other games first. There are a few free ones for Linux: 0A.D DOTA2 (Linux Steam) If these games run then I know you have the correct dependencies installed for games. Is your Slackware 64-bit or 32-bit?

Wow really!!!??? Microsoft wouldn't even offer you a conversion for Alan Wake? Come On! You paid for it, so if you move from one country to another there should be a solution. I just spent 6 hours over the weekend downgrading Office 2007 to Office 2003 because Microsoft is auditing the...

I can't believe Windows users are just as angry with Games for Windows Live as the rest of us! its actually kinda funny and ironic. I've had several problems with Windows games in PlayOnLinux due to GFWL Bioshock2 Fable 3 Divinity 2

Steam on PlayOnLinux no longer working?

I do have this problem from time to time, but it's not consistent. Sometimes Borderlands crashes on exit and Lost Planet crashes on exit. But other times it closes just fine. I've even had problems with Steam alone not closing properly. I'll keep my eye on this and see if I have further...

Awesome guide by the way! I'm glad you are taking some time with these newer games. Try the Wine 1.7.10-CSMT maybe it will deliver more promising results. What kind of errors are you getting?

    Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Guide

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is one of those Xbox ports to PC by Microsoft, but never seemed to get the attention it deserved. Fight as Alex against an alien bug colony in search of the Green Eye. Fight on foot and in mechs as you battle on an icy cold planet against bug minions and bosses...

    Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions

You were absolutely right! Disabling the Steam Overlay solved the problem. So frustrating, but at least the games run fine without it. Long-term, how are games affected? I think games like Borderlands requires the Overlay to join an online game... at least thats how we do it

    League of Legends Guide

Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to try. I'm sure the Devs will eventually release a "store" version too. I'm going to test it with Wine 1.6.2 and 1.7.10 this weekend

    Manjaro Install from USB Stick

For veteran users this is definitely important, but beginners would need to have libraries provided for them in advance. Until the become more comfortable at tweaking their system and doing some trial-n-error. I don't want to over-burden them any more than I already have. Some of my guides are...

    League of Legends Guide

I've had reports that disabling "peer-to-peer" doesn't fix the dgbhelp problem. There is a bug report on WineHQs about this. There have been similar reports on PlayOnLinux: dgbhelp Store Crash So far no fix yet. I'll try League of Legends again over the weekend
