DirectX 11 is coming to Linux thanks to CodeWeavers and Wine

I saw that too I'm hoping for the best I wonder if this includes DirectX 10 as well? The list of d3dx10 games is small, but I'm sure d3dx11 is even smaller. Most games are still including DirectX 9 compatibility anyways. Just for those Windows XP gamers who haven't upgraded.

League is almost my life! <:C

I've got it worked out somehow on my other Mint installation. I kept messing around with settings and yanked out my SoundBlaster card. I'm using the onboard audio now and it seems happy with your fix. Really sucks because I'm tired of fighting with Pulseaudio, Alsa and Wine. If Cinnamon...

    How's it going?

Wow, that is a nice wallpaper. I've never played Dark Souls... yet I'm currently testing Halo Combat Evolved and playing all the way through Dark Void. I finished HammerWatch with my daughters, at least to the dragon boss. I think there is more after that. But I have been playing Neverwinter...

    Beyond Divinity Guide

Thanks! You are always very encouraging! I've never played the Divinity games before and I really love the premise and slow progress. They really aren't hack-n-slash like other games. You really need to take your time and manage your characters. The combat is simple, but the tactics are not.

    Steam Store/Community is extremely slow.

Now I'm having problems with the Steam store. when I click Store nothing appears... it just loads and loads I also get a Wine crash pop-up for "steamwebhelper.exe" Not sure what that is all about, but I'm researching it.. Very annoying because I can't install new games, specially Free-To-Play games

    Fallout 3 Guide

There might be problems with the save game if it expects the patch and DLC This is getting quite complicated, no wonder Wine is having problems: Vanilla Fallout 3 Patch GFWL DLC NoCD crack I was not able to test Fallout 3 with all of those circumstances, specially the No CD crack. I was able...

    Fallout 3 Guide

hmm, leave the DLC out of the installation for now. I just want to know if the game runs... even with the strange water. If you can play without serous crashing or lagg, then its a success. If you add the DLC and it starts causing problems, then we know its related to that

    Fallout 3 Guide

Sounds like everything is setup correctly since you have many games working just fine. If you install Fallout 3 again, please launch it with "debug" and then copy paste it in a new post here: PlayOnLinux It still might be related to Games For Windows Live and that xlive.dll Are you installing...

    Fallout 3 Guide

Agreed, you really don't need a new computer. I can't remember if you were able to play other games? If you want even better performance, a GeForce 750 Ti is fairly priced... around $100 or so and won't require any extra power

    Fallout 3 Guide

I honestly don't know. Since you have the proper drivers, 32-bit Mint and tried different Wine versions, it must be a limitation of the Video card. I would guess, follow the guide again step-by-step and see if the exact same problems exist. Do you have a budget to pickup a newer Video Card...

It never hurts to re-install the whole game again in a new virtual drive. Sometimes after installing and configuring can break something.

    Battle.net White screen problem.

I have to admit, I'm not surprised. QT5 was just implemented in a few games like Drakensang and Battle.Net It automatically broke Wine for Linux gamers. Then it took about a month for someone to create a work-around... then Wine fixed the compatibility with Wine 1.7.40 There has probably been...

    Fallout 3 Guide

Normally DLL's have to be placed in c:\Windows\System32 Or it might need to be placed in the game folder. Really depends on where Windows needs to access it. Like the xlive.dll It needs to be placed in the System32 folder, but that doesn't mean it will work. When you add PlayOnLinux packages...

    Lego Star Wars Guide

Welcome to the forum! Awesome, thanks for the report and for testing Lego games in newer versions of wine. This guide is getting a bit old, but looks like it still applies. Are you able to play cooperative with controllers?
