    Lenovo Thinkpad E460 - Linux Mint 17.3

What the... !!!??? Guess you are playing the "yellow" version :p This has to be driver related... very strange. Guess I've seen stranger... but this it out-of-the-ordinary. Notice the map and icons are the correct colors, just the in-game shaders are screwed up.

Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast

My favorite will always be Seventh Son, but I used to have the Killers tape (Before Bruce Dickenson) and couldn't stop listening to it. I love Fear of the Dark as well. I even liked Bruce's solo albums too.

This is what I'm thinking with Windows 10. So I'm not upgrading. My goal is to be all Linux in the next few years.

    Fallout 1 Guide

At what point did it crash? What distro are you using? System specs? I didn't have any problems in Mint 17.2 64-bit on my GeForce 550 Ti or my 7600 GT. Both worked flawlessly. I could travel, save, combat, loot, dialog, quests, everything.

    Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Test

Sorry to "hi jack" this thread with Crysis issues :p I've never tested Crysis I, II or Warhead with a staging version, so that will be my next test.

    Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Test

I rarely experience problems when a game initially runs in PlayOnLinux/Wine. Most game I will give at least 2-3 hours of testing before I consider it a success. But I have heard of some games that crash way into the game. My nemesis has always been Crysis II. That game plays pretty well with...

    Lenovo Thinkpad E460 - Linux Mint 17.3

For gamers that is a sad thing to deal with. Computers that are too old have performance problems, computers that are too new have performance problems. At least the new computer will eventually be supported.

    Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Test

Awesome, so there is a problem with the video. That is common with games, specially microsoft games. As for drops in frame rates, that could be related to memory leaks and/or buffer problems. Try testing with the Wine 1.8-d3d_doublebuffer

Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast

I completely agree! I hope they consider PC and Linux because it would be hell-a-fun to play as Eddie in an RPG with some Maiden in the background.

    Stronghold 2 Guide

So the many files open when you launch Stronghold 2? How the heck did you figure that out?

    Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Test

Ok, then look in the game files and see if there is a folder for movies or video's. You can rename it and see if the game will continue without the cutscene. Kinda sucks, but better than not playing at all. If the video requires a specific codec to play, you will have to find out what type of...

    Lenovo Thinkpad E460 - Linux Mint 17.3

You think it might be better to use a Distro that is based on the newest kernel instead of Mint and upgrading the kernel? I would have never thought of this...

    Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Test

Normally the fixme's aren't a problem. It's more of a warning of something that needs to be fixed. You could always try a different version of Wine. Some games run fine until a certain point and then have memory errors or some specific that initiates and causes a problem in Wine. Do you think...

    Stronghold 2 Guide

Nice guide! What is the deal with the file limit? Why does Stronghold 2 need to open many files? Nice screenshots too... I've forgotten how good Stronghold 2 looks.

Oh, you didn't have to install OpenAL? That is really cool! Did you make the change in Wine Configuration, Library tab?
