Ok that makes sense now. In order to run the Direct X 9 executable you will need to use a 32-bit virtual drive and 32-bit Wine, but there are memory leaks. dotnet40 installs and runs just fine in a 32-bit virtual drive and Wine, so it might fix the memory leaks, but I doubt it. Might be better...

    I can't run Don't Starve [Ubuntu 15.10]

Ah that is it! Don't Starve runs in Linux natively, so you don't need PlayOnLinux or Wine I'm glad I asked! Just download Steam from here: http://store.steampowered.com/about/ Then login, download Don't Starve and it will work fine.

    Painkiller: Black edition mouse problem.

You may want to try a cheapo wired Logitech mouse. I've mostly used those and the cheap microsoft mouse and they work GREAT

    Thank you, Ian Murdock

Our lives can be gone in a simple blink-of-an-eye But I am grateful for his work on Debian. I would never have moved to Linux so easily if it wasn't for Ubuntu and Mint which are based on Debian. Thank you Ian!

That is strange, I was able to set the resolution in-game. Are you using the virtual desktop?

    I can't run Don't Starve [Ubuntu 15.10]

Well Mint is based off Ubuntu but is more stable due to using an older kernel. Just to make sure, you are using the Linux version of Steam for Don't Starve correct? Not Windows Steam in PlayOnLinux. Don't Starve Together works perfectly on 3 of my Mint 17.2 machines.

    I can't run Don't Starve [Ubuntu 15.10]

Before you try Mint, make sure your GeForce 520M is supported. This is a laptop correct? I think the "M" in 520 is for Mobile. Also, does your Intel i7 have a video chip integrated as well? There is a chance they are fighting over the application. I'm not very familiar with double GPU's but...

Do you have a special HD mouse? Or are you using a standard cheap mouse?

    I can't run Don't Starve [Ubuntu 15.10]

Ubuntu should have a Driver Manager Search applications for it and you should see newer Nvidia drivers Mint 17.2 now supports Nvidia 352 drivers and all I have to do is open the Driver Manager, select the driver, click install. Thats it. Helps to restart as well.

Ok, I see what is happening too. This happened with me in Dragon Age: Origins I would play for a while and eventually start getting memory leaks. I know 64-bit is superior to 32-bit, but most games from the last 20 years were made for 32-bit only. For the most part it works perfectly! There...

Strange, it sounds really buggy with Wine... were you able to confirm if it is really launching a Direct X 11 executable?

    I can't run Don't Starve [Ubuntu 15.10]

Nice, looks like Ubuntu doesn't even keep the 32-bit packages in their own PPA anymore. Since you are playing League of Legends, I'm guessing you have all the 32-bit libraries installed. I don't think it will work without them. And that means you have used PlayOnLinux before. Try...

    I can't run Don't Starve [Ubuntu 15.10]

Which games? If the working games have 64-bit compatibility then that won't help you. I haven't installed them in Ubuntu myself, but here is how you can try: sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386; sudo apt-get update or sudo apt-get install libasound2:i386 libasound2-plugins:i386...

so you could not find the spaceengineer.cfg? I bet the game has to successfully run at least once for the cfg to appear. After you launch the game one time, check here: /home/username/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/spaceengineer/drive_c/users/steve/appdata/roaming/Space Engineer/ or...
