    Remember to disable the In-Game Community Overlay in Steam. It can definitely cause things to crash. Make sure to use the Virtual Desktop setting in Wine Configuration. Don't forget you don't have to "hard reset", just go to a shell (Ctrl+F2) and use "killall game.exe" by entering the games...

    I had to modify the smb.conf, set network, set password, setup shared folders and then mess with the firewall a bit. I basically made two network connections on my Fedora server. Offline - firewall disabled Online - firewall enabled I also had to install a GUI to help me set SELinux too.
