    Developers Good & Bad

Man, if working in a large company or corporation has established requirements for support teams, imagine how hard it is for Independent developers. specially a small group of people developing a game say for... Linux I couldn't even imagine testing the game, optimizing the game and supporting...

    Distros you wish to try

Not stuck, just staying with 16. No big deal, its mostly offline. I use it as a file server and sometimes a dedicated game server. So it doesn't do much at all.

    Distros you wish to try

If I had nothing better to do, I would like to learn how to use Arch. Right now it would consume way too much time, but I like the sound of setting up my distro the way I want to set i up. Otherwise, I'm happy with my current list of distros: Mint 17 Fedora 16 Ubuntu 14.04 chrUbuntu

After update Neverwinter mmo doesn't work

Yes, I saw this on the PlayOnLinux forums as well. Someone confirmed yesterday that it is working again. Try launching Neverwinter and see if there is a new patch. Not sure what version... If it doesn't patch, try again. If it refuses, then you may have to install all over again.

    Developers Good & Bad

Yeah I see what you are saying. There has to be another realm to sell games other than Steam. I guess its loose/loose for indie developers. They could try Desura and GOG, but I know they would probably make more money on Steam even if there are $1 sales The trend seems to be "get my game on...

    Developers Good & Bad

I read this blog on Worthless Customers to game developers: You are Worthless Very interesting points about the gaming industry and how developers interact with their customer base. I wanted to comment here instead of reddit... I understand his point on supporting customers when they...

I did something new, youtube vid

Very impressive. Simple Sound Recorder seems to do everything I need. I wonder if there is a way to include a mic in the recording as I play? I have OpenShot video editor. Tried it recently and it does everything I need for basic video editing.

I did something new, youtube vid

Agreed! My videos are totally unedited, right from simplescreenrecorder to youtube But if I had to do commentary and edit it all, that would take a lot of time... specially on top of the standard guide. What recorder are you using?

I did something new, youtube vid

Exactly! I am so NOT patient with turn-based. There are a few games I have played, but are way more "arcade" So are you going to do video's for all of your games? I have thought about video guides, but it would be a lot of work because I still want to do regular guides as well.

Whaaaaaaaat!!!??? You finally did a video? Thats awesome! Feel free to post them on Google+ Nice video, glad you were doing the commentary too. Space Hulk is painfully slow... don't think I'll be playing that one :(

Rolling distribution can break stuff with updates right?

    Distros you wish to try

Absolutely! Nuke it Nuke it! I'm surprised Fedora isn't running games well. I know there are reported problems with 32-bit libraries. They don't provide a multi architecture package, so like you said, you need to install the dependencies yourself. Kinda sucks, but thats what Ubuntu is doing...

    Distros you wish to try

Fedora is awesome! I have been using it on my servers for years now. Started with Fedora 8 and now have Fedora 16 on my SuperMicro server. I rarely have instability problems. I admit that my server isn't on all day/night, but when I do use it... everything is great. If it wasn't for Mint...

    Esoteric Linux Installs

I wouldn't describe this as "weird" but very functional. I use a flash drive with a very simple version of Linux that allows you to reset passwords on Windows machines. So if you get locked out or forget your password, this flash drive can reset it. I call it my Rescue Flash Drive. No way to do...

    Assassin's Creed II (Finally!)

DJ at PlayOnLinux is helping me get that crypt32.dll working as a Package, This way you can install it before installing Uplay and it will update just fine. If this work, then I can remove the "work around" from my guide. On top of that, I can test Brotherhood and Revelations
