With summer vacation (as a kid I was shocked to learn that summer vacation was only for school kids) almost upon us I must ask if boardwalks are strictly an East Coast phenomenon? Atlantic City certainly had a grand one. Venice Beach has a great walkway along the beach but no boards are involved.
