I won't be surprised if they do... I'm not so skeptical after playing BioShock Infinite, but The Witcher 3 seems much more demanding and I wonder if eON can handle it?

The guide was updated and QT5 now runs in PlayOnLinux with Drakensang. Also try a newer version of Wine without the QT5 network patch and it might work fine... I haven't tried myself yet

Did they say anything about an eON wrapper or actual native port?

I was going to say "still using IE8?" because I haven't used it in a long time. Some games required IE8 DLL's but recently newer versions of wine run game launchers perfectly.
