Yeah, from what I read everything is on the CF card. I have a 512 that I'm pretty sure I've tested with it and it saw it just fine.

I kinda doubt with a device like this being as old as it is it would go past 4 gig. But I haven't tested it.

An internal Rom, but you can add a CF and that acts like an HD. I have quit a few CF's floating around.

I think I might buy the wireless card for it and then jack up the price.

Yes they did have WIFI, but you had to get a PCMCIA card to do wifi. But yes it is old tech. Been debating on wether or not to put linux on it.

I've posted it on FB for sale and now I'll post it here. I've found a site where people are hacking these to run Netbsd. I only want $10 for it plus shipping. I have to admit it's a "toy" now a days. But maybe you'd be insterested in playing with it.

Old work server. They were cleaning stuff out. I still need to post the pic of the inside.

Ummm.... good question on ram... maybe ddr2 but I think maybe even ddr1. It's 2 Xeon's @2.8 ghz. 4 scsi drives 2 73's and 2 37's.

Pretty much a local file server is all I'm going after.

I kept getting grub error 2 when booting so I 86'ed the Myth install. I have the 2000 disk and I might start with that. I need to learn this stuff. I'll post pix of the inside soon.

I have an SSD as my main OS drive (and a game or two) on my main box (typing from it now) and thus far I haven't had an issue. Boot times are great and everything seems nice and fast. I have 2 160 gig drives in Raid for speed and I have all my music and games on those. The system is pretty fast...

I pick this thing up. It's dual CPU (I need to take some shots of the inside) Xeon's @ 2.8 I believe. I was going to install server on it but I think the cd rom drive is only cd rom and not dvd. So I'll have to upgrade it or do network installs. Currently I'm going to try MythBuntu on it and see...
