Thank you, this was the solution! Unfortunately the performance is pretty bad on my notebook with Intel HD3000. At the moment I am on vacation so my gaming rig is far away ;)
@holte240: It might be the GLSL support which can causes crashes but I am not sure... what does the debug log say?
@holte420: Open your production_Config.ini and check if borderless_fullscreen = false and fullscreen = true under the [Display] section.
I have a strange error. When I start the game I can login and I can choose my character but I can't see anything than a black screen and the GUI. When I've...
I run Arch on my notebook. I've tested a lot of different distros on my notebook but Arch fits the most!
On my desktop I run Manjaro because it was important for me to have a Linux running ootb on it due to the little time I had at that week and I also don't want to miss the Arch experience.
For...
Well, that are bad news! Maybe I missed the news... Fortunately I have all the Nordic games I wanted to have.
@booman: I am sorry that you missed Gothic 2 at GoG but it is often on sale at Steam so you will be lucky there ;)
A good friend of mine got all titles there and he is happy about that!
Got so hooked by this game this morning so that I didn't recognize that it is almost half past two :)
This game is better than Skyrim imho. I lost my interest in most modern games due to the lack of atmosphere und originality.
Also this game looks better than a lot of modern rpgs because they...
In the German Archwiki there's a very good step-by-step installation guide which also explains in detail what exactly this command is used for. Unfortunately there isn't such a nice guide in the English wiki but there's also an installation guide with which you will hopefully successful install...
I also bought MM7 and MM8. I left out number 9 because it seems that it doesn't fit into the glorious series of the former ones.
Do you also use the standard xfce-terminal? It looks very nice ;)
I was forced to setup a new Arch installation this morning because of a bug with systemd and now I...
HoMM III works perfectly! I've also installed the general patch, HD mod, Superfix Common and HotA. But it won't start HotA via the HD_launcher...-.-
The mesa driver is already installed and I could figure out the problem with my mouse. I use a script to deactivate my touchpad when a USB-mouse...
Thank you very much for your very detailed post!
Finally it worked! I've successfully installed Battle Realms with Winter of the Wolf and the game runs pretty well! Maybe I'll write a guide on how to install the game via POL...
But I encountered a little issue. When I have started a game and I...
Ok, I can't use a 64bit wine version. After the installation of wine 1.7.17 64bit I can't chose this right before the installation of the GOG game. So I tried to use 1.7.17 32bit but the same error. When I click OK the installation process freezes and I have to kill it.
Thank you a lot for your fast answer! As I followed your guide I choose gdiplus before the installation. The wine version is 1.7.6.
How can I check that gdiplus is installed correctly?
And how can I check which 32bit libs may be missing?
Later I will try a 64bit Wineversion and if this won't...
Now that Manjaro is running pretty well I have started installing games via PoL. But the problem is that I always recieve the same error with every GOG game I try to install.
Here is a screenshot with the error. The message only appears at the end of the installation.
I tried to install HoMM III...
I also record some metal stuff but nothing special ;) I am not good at playing the guitar although I started playing 8 years ago. But I don't have the time to work on more professional and elaborate projects. Two albums? Wow, this sounds great ;) May I will be able to hear something from you...
I'm running Win7 on my main system because of compatibility reasons (recording etc). If it would be possible to record music on Linux with all of my equipment then I would completely migrate to Linux!
But I recommand Manjaro as a main distro. It is very stable because of the slidely older...
(X)Ubuntu and Mint were my main distros for a long time. A few month ago I migrated to Arch because it sounds pretty interesting. But the major reason why i migrated was that I've learned more about Linux and how it works during the two weeks I installed, configured and tweaked my Arch system...
Hey there!
I'm new to this page but I was lurking this forum quite a while and I also switched from arch to Manjaro Xfce. It is a really nice distro. Everything is working ootb on my notebook. I can fully recommend this distro, because of its simplicity and its rolling releases!
Btw, this...
