Perhaps in time I will try AMD cards but Right now the best at Linux drivers is NVIDIA, not that they are perfect either but ever since Linus gave them the finger with his famous rant, they have gotten a little better. Of course mesa is still a bit of a headache so there is liable to be problems...

AMD drivers have Linux issues that's why I always try to get an NVIDIA card since their driver work well with Linux.:)

It will be out this fall on Steam. Windows 7 and up, MAC and Linux! It is the sequel to Train Fever. Just look for it in the Steam store. While you wait for release, try Train Fever. It's fun if you love trains. Think Rail Road Tycoon 3, only better!

It works for most games unless as in TS you need the Steam store in order for a big part of the game to work.
