    ASLR bypassable=security problem

I may well be wrong but I think I recall a Pinky at the olde AOA site. Wonder if the two Pinky's are related somehow?

Have you ever noticed something in its absence?

I went to the VA hospital at about 10 PM on Mar 1st. Didn't dream that they would keep me. I'm elated to say that my gall stones didn't hurt anywhere in the neighborhood that Gizmo's did! It really bites being "tied" to the bed by an IV drip. Naturally my tv on the ward was kaput. The...

How to send an email circa 1984

The woman in the olde vid was obviously brilliant, glad that I don't have to be in the far improved e-mail of today!

You go AMD! Tiny company compared to Intel, it's wonderful to see AMD in the driver's seat!

Have you ever noticed something in its absence?

Very interesting posts, thank you! Was away for a week, had my gall bladder removed because it was chock full of stones. Unhappy midriff, but no complications fortunately. Good to be back!

    AMD Ryzen Discussion

Ending Intel's near total monopoly in high end consumer processors? You go AMD! If I ever feel that I don't have enough performance I'll do my best to go AMD! It worked marvelously with Sledgehammer.

    AMD Ryzen Discussion

You've had the best speed for years. Of course it required a big investment and lots of hard work, but your box has ruled the roost for years!

Extremely well said and so very true! Maybe the log(s) are the reason that my vision isn't improving with age?

    AMD Ryzen Discussion

No doubt you built a customized overclocked screamer, Daniel. IIRC your clock speed outperforms any of the present Intel CPU's and it looks like the new i7's at stock speed are still behind you in velocity. Dunno about the Ryzens coming down the pike--but they sure are looking very good indeed!

    AMD Ryzen Discussion

This looks like GREAT news for booman, yay! Sticking with AMD over all these years could have been a bit depressing, of course I don't know how booman felt about the performance disparity. AMD finalfreakingly comes through again, Yaay!

Have you ever noticed something in its absence?

Funny, isn't it? I'd rather badmouth those that I think deserve it than work on myself. Human nature in action?

And being poor doesn't automatically make one a good person. I'm willing to bet that a few of the folks at the bottom of the heap are nearly saints in the amount of good will they generate. Maybe about three million? I can't find even one good ultra wealthy person. What's worse is that they...

    Happy Birthday to Daniel~!

Your most welcome! I'm less than two years behind you. Eeep!

What's the number now? Something like 83 people have the same wealth as the bottom 50 percent of the whole planet. That's more than three billions of poor people. Hard to argue that goodness exists in those 83 "people" with numbers like this.

Have you ever noticed something in its absence?

It took me years to understand what the Cone Heads of Saturday Night Live of many years ago really meant when they said "consume freely."

    Happy Birthday to Daniel~!

Good old AOA announces birthdays, but it doesn't give out the exact natal day. I was trying to be a good guy, but will bear any possible insult my inexactness engendered. I didn't think to examine all pertinent personal information retained by the olde site. My abject apologies. And... Happy...

The rich ARE most certainly the central government. Seems I misunderstood a bit of what you posted, sorry. When "the Man" demands something in America his will will be accomplished. What's left of our "welfare state" is nearly in tatters. Trump's gang are on their way to destroying those tatters.

Have you ever noticed something in its absence?

Indeed, what deal is that? As Alan Grayson the Democratic Congressman from Florida once said about the Republican "health care plan," "If you are healthy--stay healthy. If you're ill, die fast."
