A gift is a gift without strings. You could have blown the money in Vegas. And yes, I would have been pained had you been that foolish. All the same, a gift is a gift. No need whatsoever to repay my kindness. But please pass a kindness along if you can. I'd be surprised if you haven't done that...

    Something new and horrible

I'm very happy to see that Britain's Supreme Court said "NO" to this unthinkable BS from was it Boris Johnson? Thank you VERY much for posting this! Sanity is always welcome. I couldn't believe that, who I assume was the Prime Minister said "no, no Parliament allowed. It's all about ME." Then...

You are too kind and generous, I don't think it's really alright for me to take advantage of your amazingly nice offer. Please, buy yourself all of the tv that you want! 55" is out of the question, that's just too big for my clutter box of an apartment. Maybe the humble 40"er will last me for as...

Who's heard Little Richard sing "Shake a Hand"?

I saw the NRBQ at Bumbershoot one year. I'm a fan of the bass player, Joey Spampinato. And especially like Al Anderson their guitar player and star vocalist. He can be amazingly tender and sensitive. Which the band in the main is surely not.

Darn, 55" is as small as the Sony A9G gets. Multi Espensivo to put it mildly. Aw shucks, I need a 50" as maximum size. Sigh. I wouldn't ask for a $2500 tv, period.

Say what? I gave you $3000? Pardon my frankness but I NEVER gave you or anybody else $3000. It goes against my principles to even contemplate such an action! As a good Capitalist I demand the world give money to ME! Why I don't even have to earn it, ask Massa Lump, who never earned an honest...

Yes, I grokked that. My attempt at humor fell flat, the insanity of the price wasn't amusing enough. Sorry.

Is this guy a reviewer or a SALESMAN? I read that 8k is silly. How many freakin' bits per pixel can a system provide?

Thanks for your thoughts about this gnarly subject. If I had my druthers my present Samsung 40" tv will last me for as long as I live. I don't drool over giant tv's, they seem like yet another symptom of conspicuous consumption. The "organic" in Oleds kinda grabs me, but I don't need the...

Tell you what, I'll buy one for you, one for me. If I only I could find a workable on-line currency converter. What a royal PITA!! Very roughly speaking 30,000 UK pounds is $45000. Oh, I feel the need for this monitor. Not.

Thanks for the advice Kaitain! It would be lovely if I could chug along with my old Samsung 40 incher forever. But the last Samsung I bought lasted two and a half years. I think this one is about that age now. Fingers crossed!

Thank you for all of the reviews, maybe I'll be super lucky and not have to by a modern tv? Ay yai yai! I turned seventy today. I'm sure there's no chance that my 40" Samsung will last another two full years. Sigh. I'd love to not have to buy a newer tv! I think I saw some reviewer say that...
