    Hi,

I just installed Linux Mint, last week. Everything works fine, but i just tried to play Final Fantasy XIV Online.

    I installed Wine, everything's ok.

I have a windows installation with FFXIV on it, and it works on Windows.

But when i try to launch the game with wine, by launching "FFXIVBOOT.EXE", i get on the launcher, i can login, etc, but when i must get to this page :

I just have a black screen, i can't do anything... I'm so sad not to play FFXIV on Linux, i tried everything

What can i do please ? Thanks :)

    Welcome to GamersOnLinux!
    I fixed your "typo"

What video card and drivers are you using?
Are you using Wine alone or PlayOnLinux?

I recommend PlayOnLinux of course, but Wine alone will work as well.
Is there a chance FinalFantasy XIV is Direct X 10/11 compatible only?

    Hi,

    I'm using a Radeon R9 280 TRI-X 3 GO and i installed official drivers for linux.

I'm using wine because when i want to install manually FFXIV with PlayOnLinux, it doesn't work.

No, FFXIV has Direct X 9 and 11, you can choose.

If you are using a 64-bit Mint, then make sure to install the 32-bit libraries. Really helps with games and PlayOnLinux.
Use Software Installer or Synaptics Package Manager and search for ia32-libs or "multi-arch"

I've also read that Gallium 9 Wine works even better with Radeon video cards.
You may want to look for it, but I'm not sure if PlayOnLinux supports Gallium 9.

Are you able to play any other games?
