Other Video Modes

You can also edit the userdef.cfg to set higher resolutions

Go to:
Code:
/home/username/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/mageslayer/drive_c/Program Files/MageSlayer/Mage/
Open userdef.cfg in TextEdit
Change resolution in line
Code:
vid_setmodebydesc "D3D 800x600x16"
to
Code:
vid_setmodebydesc "D3D 1280x960x16"
Save userdef.cfg
mageslayer38.png

Conclusion:
Once I found the resolution could be set through userdef.cfg I could set my Desktop resolution to 1280x960 and then play in fullscreen. Everything else ran really well. The controls are awkward, but the more you play, the easier they get.

Thank you for thanking us!
For now we no longer post or update guides because Wine & Proton have proven to work over and over again. But we continue to post working games and tips for the stubborn ones.
Keep visiting and enjoy Linux gaming!
