Should game developers focus on using OpenGL or DirectX?
Wolfire developer David Rosen writes an interesting blog post on the subject:
    DirectX vs OpenGL

This initial post is from Jan 2010, but he revisits later and responds to some of the comments:
    DirectX vs OpenGL revisited
I wonder how this has changed today almost 4 years later with Xbox One and Playstation 4 coming out?

Since the Big Companies and $$$ rule the gaming world Direct X will always call the shots, but its amazing how many independent developers are popping up and they are mostly using OpenGL and even starting to develop for Linux.

But its cool to hear that OpenGL can boast the many features that Direct X has and yet is less platform dependent.
I think that will win in the long run. Look at Playstation 2 and now Playstation 3.
