Apparently Spotify identified the risk of some accounts getting hijacked by use of the same password on multiple networks: This link explains.

Now, if you've never had a spotify account... maybe somebody else registered one using your credentials? An inquisitive person might reset the password and then log in to see whose credit card details have been registered...
