My work is in need of some Chrombooks, so I went on CDW and Amazon to look for a few 14 inch models...
To my surprise almost all of them are SOLD OUT!
This is great news for Linux as Chromebook use Chrome OS which is a Linux distribution developed by Google. Its awesome seeing the growing need for cheap laptops with Linux already ready-to-go!

Watch AMD President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su's keynote at Computex 2019 in Taipei, speaking about the next generation of high-performance computing. Looks like Intel might have some stiff competition coming.

A friend of mine decided on a new Gaming build and found that video card prices are ridiculously high!
He ended up getting a budget card instead of next-Gen because of the $800.00 + prices.
I found this is due to BitCoin miners purchasing all of the top-of-the-line cards to mine their mining.
Sucks for us!

Most of the lawsuits - 30 - are customer class action cases that claim that users were harmed by Intel’s “actions and/or omissions” related to the flaws, which could allow hackers to steal data from computers.

This is a bit lengthy, but I am really, really inspired to give some compliments where they are rightfully due. Take the time to read this, because this is a tale of all-star customer service.
Too often we complain about customer service, RMA problems, and other assorted sales complaints. I just wanted to take a moment to endorse the guys at Razer customer service: in no particular order, EugeneC, Jordi, and Erick.
I have a Blackwidow mechanical keyboard I bought at a large retailer...

US bitcoin mining hardware manufacturer Butterfly Labs finally gets judged in the two year old consumer fraud case, where customers were promised the ASIC mining hardware for up-front payments. The dates kept getting pushed back, and back, and back until...well, you can figure out the rest. Many of the buyers who actually did receive their units got them so late [some as many as two years late] that the hashpower of the units no longer even remotely covered the cost of running them and...

The Boss says that the next kernel release will be 4.0, after a developers' survey that asked if they were ready to start a new numbering series. The next kernel would have been 3.20 if the devs hadn't voted for 4.0.
He says the new number series doesn't mean that much, except that "I can do releases without having to take off my socks again." If you remember, going from 2.x to 3.x was for much the same reason, as I reported here:...
