Apparently Microsoft is going to produce two Xboxes as their new consoles.
    • Xbox One S
    • Xbox One X

"S" is going to be the more affordable model while the "X" is going to have higher specs for a state-of-the-art gaming experience.

To me, this appears to be anti-console development. Imagine developers having to make two versions of their game for two hardware requirements. I thought the point of consoles was to make it easy for consumers and developers by have a hardware standard for each game.

If each console developer went this route, then they have less argument porting to Linux with all of our distros and PC hardware.

The Xbox One S and X are current models.

The X being capable of higher display resolutions, i.e. 4K.

    Why sell two models?
Why not a single affordable model that can be upgraded later on?

If you need to ask that, you're not really a capitalist ;)

That being said, as MS sells the xbox at a loss and only really makes money off the games, they're not doing it right, either...

Nope, not even a business man.
I'm always thinking about the "under-dog" instead of "the man"

    Why am I not surprised?
    Hardware - Write off
    Games - Profit

Linux will never be able to use this business model
