    I needed a 43 inch TV.and needed it to come in at under $300.

    If no one else you know happens to meet this criteria, you can move on without suffering great loss.

    What I found out was that the 55 and above sets hog a lot of the Goodies.

    Oled TV are amazing...everyone says so.LOL

    QLED are almost as amazing and better at a few things

    Oled is the brain child of LG.
    Qled calls Samsung Mommy.

    Both have rather avid fans.

    Philips, TCL and others are offering OLED as well as LG of course.
    But only above the 55 inch..So no Qled even if the price were reasonable which it is not, if you only have $300 bucks to spare."O}

    It came down to Visio at $350 or TCL at $259.
    Both were rather amazing.

    But the TCL was better reviewed in a lot of review type places.

    So for my $300 here's what I got.:

    A TCL 43 inch with ROKU ( A 100 dollar value,( that is what my current stand alone Roku set me back.)
    ( I wanted to keep that Roku with my current Hisence 43 inch and give them both to Patti.}

    A free game, A Call Of Duty off shoot (MY god what a punner I am! ":O| for my PS4 and a $35 dollar 4 year warranty. Should any be foolish enough they can choose a X Box version...
    But who would ever do such a thing I don't even know!!
    ( That's fan boy speak for I hate MS.":O}

    Several (More than three) praised it's low latency in games and high picture quality. This TCL is using Samsung's Quantum dot (QLED)
    and offers Dolby Vision as well as HDR 10 10+.and another that's not important because I can't remember it's name.

    I really wanted an Oled but Have neither the money nor the 55inch space to spare.

    After the digits fell into place...

    Order Summary
    Item(s) Subtotal:
    $259.99
    Shipping & Handling:
    $0.00

    Total before tax:
    $259.99
    Estimated tax to be collected:
    $20.54

    Grand Total:
    $280.53

    2 day free shipping.

    So if you want a 43 inch or quite possibly you simply want to be a bit more like me, you will need go no further than my recommendation...
    because science!

    I'll let any interested parties know how the dream lives up to my expectations in a few days or sometime after because that's what scientists do, they share."":O}

    Yeah, getting things to fit has become a major criteria.

    Naturally I wished to spend more and get better, but at under three hundred there were only four 43 inch sets that were in the running, LG, Visio TCL and Samsung.

    There are no 43 inch OLED models and I found only non OLED and One QLED, Lots of 4 inch models but not with Q or O LED.

    Can you take it back?

    There's no reason to settle for 1080 or limited features. 49 inch is still in the neglected but almost fully featured category. Both Visio and TCL started out in life as cheap but serviceable. But now they are making moves on the best sets out there.

    If you can return it and almost everyone lets you do returns these days for little or no reason, Get 4K for sure.

    There are sets at 1080 that come with HDR. Right now many are saying that the HDR is a bigger and more important deal than 4k, I can't say.

    Personally I would rather have a 49, I was use to 60 inch.

    But I'd go with a 43 with 4k and HDR over a 49 without either of those.

    I know money is tight So I'll be blunt. You can do way better for your money. I also know that time is precious for a family man and you have better things to do than to shop something to death like I do.

    Is why I though a few here might benefit from my EXTENSIVE RESEARCH LOL

    At times like these I tend to have a US versus Them mentality. Where did you buy?

    Many have a no questions asked policy on TV returns in the first 30 to 90 days.

    The ARC input on my year old HiSence was ca-put from the start. I would have returned it but have a use for it.

    Given your relative place in the market I don't think the angels would cry if you collected on my busted ARC.

    If the Big Guys can buy and trade carbon pollution then you and I should be able to trade buster ARC inputs. In short tell then the ARC doesn't work, Wait, I'm not sure 1080 have ARC, but I think they do, Check.

    I really think it worth your while to return and go for the Amazon deal. 4 years of no questions asked repairs or replacement. Ultra high 4k, decent but not great Quantum dot Teck. The 49's only cost a very little bit more and is actually a better deal than I was able to get in a 43 inch.
    So you should be able to stay with the 49 inch size... if you want to do better for yourself.

    As a rule I shy away from recommendations as experiences vary a goof deal. But this seems like a no brainier to me.":O}

    The model I chose is HIGHLY recommend for gamers as it has very low latency and is tweaked for games and use as a computer monitor.

    How do you get your content?

    Tell me your not still on cable!! Huge waste of money!!

    Ge Roku!! There is nothing on cable you cant get from ROKU.
    for around half the cost. You already pay for online band width, use it! That's all Roku needs to give you super high def, HDR and all the newest features are well addressed by roku. To be honest "Fire" is a cheap knock off of Roku.

    (That's what reviewers say, I have never used Fire so can't personally say that.)

    Right now warranties are kinda odd. They go from one to 5 years and the prices are all over the place.

    The one I got was an especially good deal, less than ten bucks a year for 4 years.$35 bucks total.My experience says you have about a 70% chance of needing it.

    So don't sleep on the warranty.

    You might well decide you good with what you got, your not, but If your happy I'm happy, just want to see you do better if you can.":O}

    Give my best to your wife and kids...
    Wait! This is my best, so give them this LOL

    I spent some time looking at your 49 on Amazon.
    Two bad things really stick out.
    1. It's a 1080, 1080 is well past it's day and ageing very fast.
    2. Fire is not roku

    you can get 3840X2160 for the same or almost the same price. That's 5 times the resolution.

    But from a viewer point of view
    (Sometimes I can't help myself!)

    The biggest thing is no Quantum dot teck! QLED and OLED are the biggest things going with monitors these days, LG's OLED is said to be amazing, but there's some unresolved questions concerning burn in for gamers and /or use with a computer.
    OLED is an entirely new thing The O stands for organic.
    Qled however is a big improvement in the old LED teck. They spread Quantum dots across the whole screen
    right now a buyer should try for one or the other.

    Qled is said to be better for games (No burn in) and better handling motion blur.

    Why not ask for more? ":O}

    For $250.00 a few years ago, it wasn't bad at all. Its the biggest TV we have ever purchased and it fit perfectly.
    When we buy a home and I get my Gaming Man Cave, there is going to be a huge 80 inch TV on the wall for movies! Can't wait for that day!

    Ha ha yeah!
    In the future your windows will be screens and floors made of aluminum.

    I remember reading that a spray-on screen was in development. This way anything could be a screen or monitor.

    Here's what I don't get. Google has entirely infiltrated the TV market.

    Don't people realize that to use google asstint your TV must always be listening to ever word spoken in your home?

    My favorite take on this is a cartoon, one picture long.

    A couple is welcoming anther couple into their home. As he enters the guest
    gets ahead of the rest and quietly Says"

    "Serie order 500 pounds of rice delivered to my home."

    After endless more research I'm finally satisfied that I know what I'm doing.

    I'm buying almost blind folded LOL

    Here's the apple of my eyes

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08162Z54L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    It's going to be a tight fit but it will fit! YEA!
    I had to spend more than I would like and had to get one 7 inches bigger that I wanted,. But that aside I ended up getting very nearly every thing I wanted.

    It only has 16 dimming Zones, I wanted 25000, but that's not yet on the market.":O}

    As a rule I try very hard not to allow myself to become to attached to places and things as such behavior is ill suited to a wander.

    Yet for the last last ten days I have little if anything on my mind except for researching and in the face of a limited budget acquiring a new Tv / gaming monitor/ computer monitor.
    (Ah..that's all in one of course!!, I caught myself lusting after teck, I didn't go completely mad!!":O} )

    Yet I can't be completely able to exonerate myself If I feel a need to write it all out for God and everybody to see.":O}

    Why did I put so much pressure on myself to get this right?

    I live in an 8X10 world that is,well sitting on my bed I can easily press my palms to the ceiling. Most of the homes I've lived in had larger bath rooms, and I could stand up in them!!

    It's saving grace is that there is 6X21/2 ft window on each side.a hundred feet away I have a river to look at. I'm in good health walking more than a hundred feet at a time has become very problematic, no stamina, no circulation in my legs. So this is my life and after many years I have become well suited to it.

    So this monitor is going to be my eyes on this world.
    That was my motivation to see the world as cleanly, as beautifully as I can.

    Instead of 280, I jumped at a chance to spend 400., 50 bucks over budget. ( I also bought a 4 year warranty for 45, 10 bucks a year seems fair, and still only 50 over budget.

    So, ok I guess I forgive me.":O)

    OH! there's something I want to know more about but can't find online. If one of you could find it I'd be grateful.

    My new Visio

    Has a octa-core processor. Is this really an 8 core processor or just marketing.
    if so what speed does it run on. Actually I's like access to all it's specs.
    thanks in advance.
