Hey guys. For some reason Borderlands 2 doesn't want to run. I don't know what got into it to be honest

    I ran it using Wine 1.7.8, 1.7.16, 1.7.20

I even used the same bottle (virtual drive) to run Skyrim, Batman Arkham Asylum, Scribblenauts and they work just fine. (Although I had problems with Batman one, but I'll take care of that later, the FPS drops pretty low)

If you have a working Borderlands 2 installation, share your wine version, is it 64bit or 32bit? And the libraries you used. Most appreciated :)

When does it crap out on you?
Check my guide because I remember the "launcher" doesn't work with Wine.
so you have to add an argument in PlayOnLinux: -NoLauncher
    Something like that.

Yea, I know the launcher craps out. I tried so many ways I gave up man. I don't know why it doesn't want to run.

    - Skyrim? works
    - Scribblenauts Unlimited? works
    - Ys: Oath of Felghana? works
    - Guild Wars 2? works

Borderlands 2? I launch the exe and there's no error. It just doesn't want to start up at all. No errors given. I spent 2 days on it. Tried various bottle settings.

Do note that I'm not using PlayOnLinux, remember the project? The thing is that it used to work just fine with WINE 1.7.8 without any patching needed :(. It really is one hell of a confusing behavior.

Oh I didn't know you were not using PlayOnLinux.
In that case, I have no idea. The only problem I ever had was the launcher. Once I bypassed it, Borderlands 2 ran flawlessly.
Did you disable the In-Game Community overlay too?
