ah, I think I did have a crash this morning. More like a lock up. I didn't realize it was related to the music. I'll definitely rename the music folder. Thank You

    Frustrated with Mint 16

After trying .asoundrc and checking pavucontrol again I confirmed that PlayOnLinux wasn't using Pulseaudio. I also did default-fragment-size-msec = 5 but that probably doesn't matter now that PlayOnLinux isn't using Pulseaudio correct? Fallout 3, Risen and Tron are better, but in Tron I was...

    AppDB Comments Deleted?

I rarely use those old versions of Wine. So it makes sense to not support them... but there are a few games that only run on them. Thats definitely not my fault when a game can't run on newer Wine, but I would still make a comment about my success when a game runs... even on an old version...

    Doom 3 BGF Guide?

Your concern is totally legitimate. Wine has been really good lately and it just seems redundant to use Wine and Native binaries for the same game. The decision is totally yours of course. In the case of a game not working in Wine, then obviously the Linux binaries are another option. I found...

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) Released

I run ChrUbuntu on my Chromebook, its based on Ubuntu 12.04 and I don't really have many problems. I wish the menu icons were smaller, but otherwise, it runs fine. So I won't be totally foreign to the Unity interface, but I'm really a Mint gamer. I just don't want to way over a month-n-half...

    Final Fantisy VII

Mint is basically Ubuntu with a more standard User Interface similar to Windows. Ubuntu went with Unity which is more Windows 8-ish and Mint has Cinnamon & KDE which is more Windows 7-ish. Of course you can just install the desktop environment of your choice, but most "new" Linux gamers just use...

League Of Legends on Ubuntu lol Lancher.exe has encountered

I was able to update and login this morning, but didn't actually play a round. I just didn't have time because the rounds can last 30 minutes to an hour. Just to recap... You tried in Ubuntu 13 32-bit and Ubuntu 12 32-bit correct? You followed my guide to a "T" and still can't play online...

    Frustrated with Mint 16

I read about that default-fragment-size-msec also. Even tried it, but wasn't really sure if that fixed my problem. How do I check which Pulseaudio I am currently using? The only game that seems to be running well is Crysis Warhead... of all games why does that one run well? Seriously, its a...

    Frustrated with Mint 16

I'm getting really frustrated with Mint 16! It seems almost every game I test in PlayOnLinux is having some kind of stuttering problem and its really getting on my nerves. i'm really leaning on Pulseaudio as the root of the problem but I am unable to confirm if it is. So far no one has posted...

Adding some automagic to PoL shortcuts

I knew it... that is the first thing I thought of when you mentioned automation for PlayOnLinux shortcuts. Seems like a real pain when pulseaudio developers should just fix the problem.
