CDPR is asking users to ask their questions regarding TW3 release

How about:
  • Is the Linux port going to be an eON release?
  • Which Linux distribution is recommended for The Witcher 3?
 
Actually, eON developers are one of the very few people who create ports/natives for Linux then say t hat you need steamos for real support.

In other words, they understand that the issues are very rarely specific to any said distro. If you have a functional steam, you have a functional steam.

You can ask your question about eON, but I'm more interested in fishing out a release date of the Linux version from CDPR folks.
 
That is smart for them. So if you don't use SteamOS then you are stuck to posting on forums and such. Which is what I do anyways.
I'm not a huge Witcher fan, but I really like the features in this new one.
We'll see what questions people come up with
 
here is another one:
Are they planning to do a bunch of downloadable content like the Borderlands games?

I'm not a big fan of all the downloadable content. I know its good for the developers and revenue, but I'm not interested in new hats, suits, faces and lame stuff.
I miss the days of an all out finished game.
 
They are going to release DLC but it will be free for those who have bought the game. They're also have two expansion packs planned. Yes, EXPANSION PACKS, good old EXPANSION packs. I'm not sure if those will be free or not.
 
I guess they have to in order to compete with other business models.
I rarely play online anyways, but DLC isn't very important to me.
I never even finished Borderlands 2 even though I love that game.
My wife can't play FPS's and my daughters are too young.
But I haven't even bothered with DLC in that game or any other.
 
They made some DLC for Witcher 2 as well, but it was all completely free. As for the planned expansions, they were not going to be free from what I remember reading. Unlike modern DLC, those expansions will feature a lot of new content, like Aryvandaar said, just as good old expansion packs used to be.
 
I think expansions always irritate me because of the Quake one's way back.
I never figured out how to use them.

But games like Oblivion and Borderlands did a really good job.
I expect the same from Project Red
 
CD Project Red is one of the few game developer companies who truly care for their consumers.

I completely agree! The prove it with GOG and all the consumer needs in the forums.
I'm tempted to buy The Witcher 3 just because of their devotion to us
 
GOG even has a 30 days money back guarantee. But I'm not sure if this applies to not wanting the game after all.

I pre-ordered the physical collector's edition the moment it was announced.

The Witcher 3 will be like Skyrim, only that it will be less open world, but a lot more focus on the story content (let's face it, besides GTA, there really are no games that are as open world as Skyrim lol). The setting is grim and more adult like.
